Security Deposit Question

We are getting ready to make our final payment for a villa in Emerald Island and I was wondering about the security deposit.

For those of you that have rented before, were you able to make the security deposit payment with a credit card either to the owner or management company?

I was hoping to use a credit card. I emailed the owner and am waiting to hear.

I am an owner actually at EI and I personally do not take credit cards but my man/co allows all our guests to put the card thru them. Very nice people. Lucky to have them.

Do most of the owner's work through a managament company?

All owners need to have someone looking after their guests and homes for them but not all owners have managers who take cc for them .I take it in with the final balance and have not had any trouble doing so or complaints that I do it this way.My guests know before hand how much the final amount is so they can budget accordingly plus of course they have some spending money to look forward to when they return home.

We take the security deposit ourselves with a credit card. It has always worked great for us.

Most do, unless they live locally and can care for the property and guests themselves (even if I did live in Orlando, I couldn't do this and work full time!).

Our MC can take credit cards on our behalf. Some guests prefer to pay this way, others prefer Paypal, others prefer checks (since most MCs will pass along the CC transaction processing fees to the guests).
