I was just wondering where the security checks are. would it be practical for one of the adults to go through the slower security line and have the other adult take the children through the "no bag line" and get strollers , guidemaps etc. or is it impractical . Thanks.

We were last there during SuperSoap Weekend, Wine & Food Festival and the infamous NJ Teacher's Week and there was little delay at the security checkpoints, located a few dozen yards before the turnstiles. If the line is more than 10 deep you might benefit from sending an adult ahead, but we never encountered such a line in 7 park days.

It is very practical and helps the security lines to go faster if people who don't need to have anything checked aren't milling around with the parent carrying the backpack or whatever.

Two weeks ago we hit AK just after opening, and the security line was backing up. They suggested that those with out bags go around and wait. Doing so really helped wit the lines.

The security checks have seemed to become more thorough in recent weeks. We had very little wait to get through them in April (2002). We were there 2 weeks ago and they were much longer. Also, It seems as though some of them (I believe Epcot) were set up right at every turnstile.
