I just came back from universal. Not sure if this was posted. they now have the security checkpoint before you get to citywalk instead of at the front of each park. I went two days to universal and the first day when we paid at parking we were given a little note that said no outside food, drink or coolers allowed. When I exited the park I asked the security guy and he said you can bring in snacks. When I went a few days later I did not receive the little note.

having the checkpoint before citywalk makes a lot of sense to me, too bad the food thing doesn't

So does that mean if your at HRH you dont have to go thru the checkpoint?

I would doubt it because you don't walk through the parking garage to get to Citywalk from the hotels.

There is a guy standing by the walkway from the HRH or where you would take the shuttle bus. He has a little table and umbrella that is off to the side. One day he checked us, another he did not. They also asked for hotel id at night (after 11 PM) before we were allowed to walk back to the HRH.

I'm not sure what they are doing for those on the boats, since I didn't take those at all.

There's also a security check when coming up from valet parking, which is past the hub checkpoint.

I stayed at RPR last week. No security check for the boats that I could see. Has anyone mentioned that they are now doing finger scans for all tickets? Must be new, a lot of bugs in the system. They kept telling my brother he had no fingers since he had to keep doing the scan over and over again.

We just got back from a stay at PBH and there were no security check points there either. Also, finger scans aren't used on season passholders.

just got back sunday. There was a check point at the end of the wlakway from RPR, but not at the water taxis.
We did not receive a note about no food/beverages and I actually saw a lot of people with things that had been brought in.

We have preferred annual passes and did not need to scan our finger

an observation...... they need somethign set up for when people need to sign their tickest. There needs to be an area set up for this. Often the turnstiles would get back up because people were stopped to sign their ticket.

We just got back from 5 days at the PBH & there were no security checkpoints that we could see. No one stopped us & checked our bags at any point. We have the flex pay annual passes & they scanned those. Though my DH would sometimes not scan they just let him throigh. At the fotl I would say 90 % of the time they scanned the card. But no security check point that i could see at any of the parks. :rolleyes1

when i stayed at hrh in october, the security check was at the place another poster listed, by the bus shuttle area. the employee only checked bags and purses.

once inside the park, security check again after the turnstyle.

for the boats, the sign posted said hotel id's must be shown for after midnight on rides to the hotel. hhn got out at 2 on the saturday i took the boat and the boat driver never asked for the hotel key..

At RPR I got stopped at walkway at margaritaville on the way out and in and asked for hotel key on way back
