In various threads on otherparts of this board I have been reaing about security checks at the entrance to the parks.

I ride an electric wheelchair, and normally carry a toolkit with me in case anything needs adjustment - a Leatherman, Allen keys (I think they are called key wrenches in USA?), spanners and a screwdriver. I assume these might be considered prohibited items.

Does anyone know for certain?

Assuming these are prohibited and I don't have my tools with me, can I get help from guest services for minor adjustments, even though I am not riding a Disney owned ECV?

Those are good questions. I wondered the same thing myself. The Allen wrenches are called the same thing here. A spanner is what Americans call a wrench.
I don't know if we will bring our full tool kit in, but a few small pieces should not be a problem for someone who has an obvious reason for needing to carry some tools. If they won't let you carry it in, I think they would certainly let you borrow some tools for a few minutes to make some adjustments. I don't know if the wheelchair/ecv rental area does any maintenance, but they certainly have some general maintanance people who should be able to help. The only problem would be that wheelchair parts are metric and the tools maintenance has might be in inch sizes (although, I think metric Allen wrenches are the more common size).

Twice at DVC resorts we have had wheelchair problems> Both times I requested tools and the disney folk quickly delivered what I needed. They were quite helpful.

During a stay at BWV I had a problem with an off-site ECV. That vendor said they could not replace it until the next day. A call to a maintenance CM who not only brought the tools we needed but fixed the problem. He even took the ECV to the shop and fixed it. I'm sure you'd find similar help at the parks.
Actually, I am now remembering another time that CMs helped with my ECV. So I would not worry too much about getting help if needed.
