My pastor is in the movie Secretariat, that was filmed in Kentucky last year and just released this weekend.

He can be seen in a scene after a big press conference before the KY Derby. He is on the left side of the screen in the plaid suit. He portrayed one of the reporters.

His wife and daughter are also in some of the crowd scenes filmed at Churchill Downs. Though not able to point them out in a particular scene.

How was the movie? I'm very excited to see this - my father was a horse trainer and would have loved this movie, but unfortunately he passed away last May. But I will be going to see it for him and I know somewhere he'll be watching it, too. Would love to hear what you thought.

That's pretty cool. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not all that interested in seeing this movie. And I don't think you will find a bigger horse racing fan than me. Makes me wonder who the target audience is.

But either way, cool for your pastor.

The movie review for our local newspaper did not give the movie a great review.
My neighbor in her sixties enjoyed it very much.

I took my 2 grandchildren, ages 5 & 8, to see it last night. We all loved it. All the people walking out of the show had smiles on their faces....

:thumbsup2 My MIL saw it yesterday and had a great time, she said it was a very good movie.

My twelve year old daughter initially did not want to go at all, but after the movie, she said it was really good and even wanted to see it a second time and bring her friends to see it also. I was completely amazed, since she was determined not to like it.

We really want to see the movie. Our schedules this weekend didn't allow it but I hope we can get there in a couple weeks.
