Yes, you will mail directly to your buddy. What I have done in the past is use my best friends address out of state- that way it is not trackable back to me right away. You can also use your address without adding your name. You can ask them to hand stamp your package. Honestly- I never look at the post mark.

(not sent, since that might give you away?) i just want to get an idea about what's appropriate & what's not. do i just go shop for whatever i think my ss would like, according to her survey? (i assume we'd get the survey back, w/the answers, right?)

You could always use your secret sisters address as the return address.. that way it would definitely get to them... unless of course you have the wrong address listed! LOL
