Secret Porthole

I HAVE HEARD PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THIS ON THIS BOARD IN THE PAST, SO COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CATERGORY AND DECK THE CABINS WITH THE SECRET PORTHOLE'S ARE? WE ARE LOOKING TO BOOK ANOTHER CRUISE AND WE ARE CONSIDERING ONE OF THESE TYPE CABINS INSTEAD OF A VERANDAH.

Secret Porthole rooms are located on Deck 5, category 10. There are only 6 of these rooms, so you usually have to book early to get one. #5020 and #5520 have the least obstruction. #5022/ 5024 and #5522/5524 are connecting rooms. All hold 4 people. If one is available, definitely go for it. They are in a great location and the view is free!!

They are rooms that are priced at a lower category because there are barrels outside the window that contain liferafts. We just stayed in 5520 on the November 6th Wonder cruise. The rooms are located behind the Oceaneer's Lab. It is great if you have children using the club or lab. However, 5520 did not have the blue trunk cabinet for clothing storage that are in most rooms, so it means alittle less places to put things. Overall the room was fine.

We booked inside delux cat 10 and was pleased to be allotted room 5520. Then 2 weeks before the cruise I got a phone call informing of upgrade to cat 6 outside with verandah (more than pleased). Have a look at these links should give you all info you need. http://www.disneycruiser.info/pics.htm

Hi, We cruised in Oct. Our cabin was #5522. it was great! The porthole was hardly obstructed. Our son was in cabin #5524. so if you are traveling with another party, it made it very nice. patsy

We had this room on our 10/26 Wonder Cruise. This is truly a great room to have. We found that the view was only a little bit obstructed, and found the general area to be very very quiet. We never heard any traffic in the hallways - probably because there are so few rooms in that part of the ship. If I ever have the opportunity to sail again - it would definitely be in 5520 or 5020. If you can get one of these rooms - Go for it!!!
