Secret porthole rooms

At this time I have three adjoining ctgy. 10 rooms on deck 7 forward but there are two secret porthole rooms available. But this would mean splitting up our group(2 rooms on deck 5, one deck 7 forward - my DH and I have a ctgy. 11 on deck 7 aft). I can't ask the families because this cruise is our Christmas, 2004 gift to them. Anyone who has stayed in one of the secret porthole rooms could you please tell me if the view is worth it?

There's really not much of a 'view' especially depending on which room you're in.
We have a SPH booked for our upcoming trip & it's supposed to have the most view, but the others that we had a life boat was directly in front of the 'window'.
They're still nice & in my opinion a 'little' view is better than none.

I wouldn't do it for the view - If it's light that you want then it's worth it. We will be in 5022/5024 for our 2nd time in June.
