Secret Path at Animal Kingdom?

I recently read in a guidebook for WDW that there is a "secret" path in AK, between Africa and Asia. The book said it is not marked by anything, and that it is not paved. Has anyone ever looked for/ found this? If so, are there any more specific landmarks to locate it with? TIA!

Unfortunately the secret path is gone. It was just a little dirt path that led you over a small stream and back out onto the main path. It was there until a year or so ago. Now it is grown over.

It used to be near the smoking area. If you know where to look you can still see the stepping stones in the creek, but you have to know where to look through the bushes.

A very nice walking path, near the Tree of Life, is accessible right near the Fastpass dispenser for ITTBAB. Easy to miss, but very nice walk up close near the Tree, very few people. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing.
