In my wayyyyyy tooo manyyyy talkes with all of the nice Universal people concerning HP and onsite stays I had a great conversation with one of the GSRers. She was telling me the thousands of calls they are getting concerning HP and many of them are people trying to book a room at Hogwarts. She said that while boards such as Disboards etc can drive her nuts because one piece of info posted here can cause her lines to ring she said that we at least are only trying to inform ourselves and she appreciates that. Some people just are assuming stuff such as that Hogwarts is a hotel and you can book it. People are offering egads amount of money and some won't take no for an answer, she said. She has no clue where people got this but it seems to be widespread. Reme

That got me thinking. Disney has the room in the Castle. Do you think Universal put a secret room in Hogwarts? Maybe for ultra special people like Universal executives, maybe Daniel or Emma etc. or J.K herself?

What would you pay to stay in that room ( if it existed? )

I need my beauty sleep, and I think the sound of a robo-coaster being test-run at 7:00 in the morning would be a little too much for me to handle! :rotfl:

Of course there is a room!! :upsidedow

Or do you really think Dumbledore would sleep at his desk?? :confused3

So maybe they are renting it if the Prof is out of the castle??

Let´s go ahead and ask the guys at the hotline!! :rotfl::rotfl:

only if they were paid a gazillion $s for an appearance:laughing:

if a contest to bunk in the castle comes about, i will enter, otherwise i'll pass;)

I don't recall the Disboards or any other boards ever saying anything about a Hogwarts hotel. From watching the structure go up, there isn't a suite there.

Don't you know??? There's a Hogwarts suite at the top of Hogwarts Castle. One family will be selected per day to stay there. :lmao:

J/K of course....

It's a good thing I don't work there or I would totally be messing with guests' heads.

"Of course there are hotel rooms inside the castle. However, you must be a wizard to access them, muggles won't be able to see them.

First, you must go to the phone booth outside the castle and dial '6-2-4-4-2' (that's "MAGIC" FYI) and wait for the operator to give you the special access spell. Then, once inside the castle, just outside the doors to the great hall, you must point your wand at the door and say the spell. The doors will open and a magic elevator will appear to you and your guests only. Please do not let the muggles standing next to you see you get inside the elevator or you will all plunge to your deaths (a la Tower of Terror). Once you are inside the elevator you will be given instructions on how to apparate to your room.

Please be advised that the cost of the room is 524 Galleons, 12 Sickles and 3 Knuts per night and muggle currency will not be accepted, you can only pay in wizarding currency, so please go to you local Gringotts before traveling.

Certain restrictions do apply. Room includes standard meals, as are provided for all Hogwarts' residents; standard House Elf maid service, (please do not tip them or hand them clothing); standard bath facilities, complete with your very own talking mirror and ghost, (use of the prefects' bathroom will cost an extra 4 Sickles and 2 Knuts a night).

Check out time is 10am. Any guests not out by this time will be handed over to Fluffy as a chew toy. Flying inside the hotel, Unforgivable curses, and Weasley Wizarding Wheezes products are strictly prohibited."

Let's!! Everyone call Universal and ask. If it goes anything like the Pre-GO info they give you, you can bet that at least one person will actually tell you that there is a room there to book. :rotfl2:
