Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

Brandi, I haven't stayed at either one, they are on my list. But I think Nancy has BWI as her home resort. We went to both in December, and I really liked the BWI area, we took the boats from both, and felt there was actually somewhat less walking from BWI than from Beach Club.

:teeth:

It's kelly's sleep day....... I'm not sleeping :headache:

BUT....at least inventory will be done at work today!!! Woo hoo :woohoo:
Sorry you can't sleep today! I know the feeling...thanks!:headache:
So limey friends....

How do feel about BWI vs. BC?

I had planned on staying at BC during my upcoming limey laundry event in May, but I might need to move over to the BWI...

I have never stayed at BC and was looking forward to it, I have stayed at BWI in the past and all I can really remember was how far you had to walk to get anywhere.

Would love to get some feedback on the pros/cons of either.

Thanks my friends...

I also haven't stayed at either, but we tend to spend some time on the Boardwalk when we go. THe kids love it there, and Chris actually asked if we could stay there one time. If I can get a code for there, I am planning on switching as a suprise. That being said, if it wasn't going to be November, and we had a better chance of getting some decent pool time in, I'd do BC/YC just for Stormalong Bay....the kids would LOVE it. Another thing that I noticed, that was odd, was that when I was pricing stuff for Nov. BC/YC was actuallu coming in at about $150 LESS for the week than BWI. All were Standard rooms. You are going at a time when discounts are plentiful, so it could run the other way for you, but definately check prices closely.

I stayed in a Studio at the BC villas in Oct 2004 - We loved being able to walk to Epcot - didn't seem that far to us.. we did use the boat to MGM .. One night we just walked around the boardwalk.. and we LOVED LOVED LOVED Storm along bay :) good luck with your decision.. Michelle

We are DVC so i would really be staying at the Villas at either place, so we would be there on points.

My kids are 26 and 17 and I am not sure that either would use the pool, while we are there.

Maybe but would not be a big push for either of them.

Thanks for all the good info, I appreciate it.

They funny part is Beach Club is my home resort for DVC and I have never stayed there. We have always stayed other places, and I love AKV, Jambo House.

Being close to EPCOT is the best part for me, it is my favorite park by far.

I have fallen in love with this bag...

Sorry, I thought that I grabbed the link with the specific purse... Anyway, it is the 40th anniversary, messenger bag.

That's awesome, do you suppose I could talk my family into the Kristen bag? After all, they NAMED it after me, so I should have it, right?

I was wondering what bag too since they all popped up. :lmao: I love the Cindy Sketch ones. They must've sold outta the one I really loved. It was the black balloons in a purse. That's probably good news cuz I can't justify spending $200 for a purse. :guilty:

Putting the van in the shop tonight. Should get it back Thursday. Getting it all fixed up for the---keep your fingers crossed--- upcoming Disney trip. :wizard:

When we were in WDW in December....they kept putting 20% off coupons on the food receipts...... and they were valid at the main shop in Magic Kingdom....AND they were valid for the D&B purses...... just saying....

cool! Disney shopping has had a lot of them go on sale too, but not the one I want. I still don't know if I would drop $200 on a purse, but again, it DOES have Dumbo on it!

Actually, when I wanted to get my current purse last year (white with the stylized Mickey heads, so looks like almost a paisley in black felted all over it) I showed Rick the D&B and the Disney Couture collection first, they did have an absolutely gorgeous Tink one, for $90 I think... but after he sticker shocked over those, I showed him mine for $39, and he concluded it was a pretty great deal. And I love my purse that I got, and get compliments on it ALL the time, about half the people who comment realize it is Mickey heads and half don't.

Yes, they should get it for you. I think that they have to. If they do then you have to help me convince david to get mine.

I was looking at that one online, but couldn't tell if the top zipped or not. Are you happy with it? Decent quality???

It doesn't zip, it has a snap, but I usually don't have it snapped. It is kinda a canvas type material, seems to be pretty heavy duty, though, I have been carrying it almost full time since October (almost is cause I have to wash it sometimes), and it still looks really good. I bleached it cause I somehow managed to set it in some oily substance that stained it, and the black Mickey stuff didn't bleach out at all. I really love it.
