Hi guys. We made it to Jackson Hole, WY today. Brian is already asleep (got up at 2:15 this morning), and I am fried. The taxi never showed up this morning. so we had to hustle and park in long term at the airport.
The drive from Salt Lake City was beautiful. We saw 3 herd of antelope, and many people rafting on the Snake River. Brian booked a float through part of the Grand Tetons for Sunday morning, so no white water, just hoping to see some animals come down to the river for a morning drink.
I'm blocked out of FB right now because I'm on Brian's computer. Stupid FB SOBs.
I have a funny story to share. One of the teachers from our district asked on FB yesterday if anyone could tell her a less expensive princess meal at WDW. Normally I would have directed her to the DIS, but she's bat-beep crazy. I'm just going to let her hang. This is one who swears at other teachers, then calls Brian to complain that other teachers don't like her. Wonder why

T: That sounds great for next summer! Normally we travel when you guys are, but this year with bringing DD's friend we had to go earlier for her.

My dh gets one weekend off a month.. So I have no choice on when we travel. I had a couple personal days on his long weekends and thats our vacations... Otherwise I have to wait 20 more years for my dh to get enough seniority to get a summer vacation. Guess 12 years is nothing anymore.

Home now. dinner drilling and my feet are killing me.

Me too. Just a few hours south of you but the air is nasty humid here. Though we did have one nice evening where my hammock and I had a great time relaxing together!

And I did wonder what in the earth you were eating that you had to drill too?!

T, hopefully we can get to meet up wit all next summer whether down south or "east coast". And 12 years is no time at all. It is so surprising to me that I have had Krista that long.... some days it seems like she can't be that old and turning into a young lady already!

Danielle...it sounds so awesome the adventure you are on! I cannot wait to hear all about it.

How about my oldest will be old enough to vote next April. I still picture her pudgy little body wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing my cheeks when she was a baby. Makes me all teary to think about it. Same with my daughter going into 10th, she would cry if I walked out of the room....OK...now I am melaoncholy.....

So I have 48 days until WDW....happy thoughts... happy thoughts

That's awesome, Google says your hotel is 18 minutes from my job and 45 minutes from my house.

Yes, we are pretty well set I think. We have a couch and tv in the living room, dining room table & chairs in the dining room plus a couple barstools at the kitchen, a klik klack couch in Catie's room , and bed and end tables/tv in my room.

Wow, can't believe I haven't been on the DIS at all since I left for Florida! Glad to see everyone had a decent 4th. T, congrats to the kids! By the way, my kids want to know if you are going to Busch Gardens while you are here. I told them I didn't think so. They are so funny. We went last Saturday to Universal with my sister, nephew, brother and sister in law, plus Rick was down for the weekend. We had a good time, but MAN it was a lot of walking, doing both parks in one day. Shelly was able to get something called a blue pass which got 5 people in for free and express pass access all day long, so we didn't have to wait for much of anything, which was great. We ended up with a few extra people, so I bought my annual pass, and Shelly bought her son one, now the 2 of us are covered any time. I will likely get Meag and Catie's ap's started in the next month.

It is unbearably hot here. so glad it will get into the mid 80's this week. Jeff is off climbing Old Rag Mountian & tomorrow he is going to "dig" at a gem mine with day camp. Krista is still home sick with a sore throat & missed her turn to dig today, but with 110 heat index here near the water, it is probably tons higher farther inland.

So I am posting to get my 3500 post and share it with my Limey friends..

It is so hot today. We set a record. Not one that I am proud of.

The subway had a break down and I was stuck for half an hour, then an Amtrak train broke down and we have to go slow around it so my 1 hour and 45 minute public transportation commute is now going on 2 and a half hours and I am only half way home.

It is hot here this week too, but not as bad. Of course, this is the week that Chris has baseball camp, though. It is only till 1, so fortunately they are not out there all day in the heat. They have an indoor skills clinic for the older ones that they just started this year, but he didn't want to do it.... now he wishes he had!

We just got our school supply list for him, but not Martina....at least I can get good deals on some stuff!

Brandi: Congrats on the 3500+ posts. It will take me a lifetime I think to reach that! Hearing your subway issues just brings back the memories when I commuted to NYC for 3 years ... many a time we were delayed in hot, airless trains ... one time it was so bad I almost fainted. Not fun.

Janet. Back years ago i thought train rides were cool and a subway rides were this dangerous adventure. Well after years of commuting this way, it is just a thang. I mean day aftet day of rude people who are *****ing about everything, to the family of tourist who don't know what they are doing, to the out of country guest who have different hygiene preferences.

All in a days commute in D.C.

Good Morning long lost friends - I really need to get a home computer so I can hop on more often! Sounds like everyone is enjoying their summer so far even if it's hot. I don't know if I said before but I had to cancel our summer Disney trip so we can move into our own house -- while we have not yet it should be this month! I am soo excited to get away from my sister's dramatic life!!!! my DD got some great news about a month ago she was invited to softball spring training next April at Disney Wide World of Sports by the varsity SB coach! she was on cloud nine - and well of course I am too - happy for her but happy for me as that means I get to go to my fave place to watch my DD play her fave sport! and we are also saving for a 10 Night trip 6/27 - 7/7 -2012 .. our last family vacation before DD goes off to -- GULP -- college!!! EEKs I have a Senior and Freshman -- oh lordy where does the time go right.. all is well with the Hubs and I we are just working .. DS is playing HS summer hockey - boy is that rougher then MS.. I don't know how I'll make it thru the season! but he has filled out and grown taller (5'8" now ) and knows how to throw or avoid the checks but still as his mom I find it hard to sit still and watch him get hit.. LOL Well there now ya know what is going on with me and i'll try to stay in touch more often.. Everyone who has trips planned ENJOY!! xo Michelle

Good morning, all!

Heather, the job is going well, though today it is slow, I stopped doing my old job this week, am just doing the new one, and I am noticing that it is a bit slow, I expect next week I will be asking them to train me for something else to add to the day.

Janet, we rode the Hippogriff ride, and Dragon Challenge, the Forbidden Journey was DOWN for technical difficulties (as was Mummy), so we didn't get to do that. But I was very impressed with how very themed the Harry Potter world is, and actually all of the park is so in theme with its area, it is pretty cool. Disney is still and always my first love though.
