I keep forgetting to ask you....with the custom carved baseball bat that you all got in Downtown Disney....was it a printed picture of what you want on it that you need, or is a digital image on a flash drive better? I am going to surprise Chris with this, but want to have several choices available for him to use when designing his bat. I think he will really enjoy this!

All they have is a scanner, so clean mono toned images will work best, it was super quick and easy once you had picked out an image. If you want to have the bat made from a block of wood, you need to call and see what days and times they are working. If you want a stock bat that just get carved with your image you can go anytime. If you take a flash take paper copoes too I have no idea if it has. Flash drive.

Make the images high res.

He is gonna love it.

Halloween was crazy fun in kindergarten. We had a lot of parent volunteers, which was great, but also meant running from group to group to keep things going.
It's been crazy trying to get all the testing done for report cards, especially because I've missed 7 days taking care of first my mom, then her memorial, then the legal stuff. My colleagues have been great, though. I've been trying to cram in some fun stuff between all the testing. Thank God the parents don't crab when I'm five minutes late giving them back their kids at the end of the day.

I am glad it was a good day. It is good to have things that keep your mind active. It does get better, as you know. just expect the "bump" that happens and brings that time back. It does get easier. {{hugs}}

And Heather, I'll take any candy you want to send down. Pleae include the chocolate! I don't want it to ruin while you are at Disney!!

It's 2 weeks and 2 days until we go to DL. I don't have anything packed. DD is still hemming and hawing about whether they're going. Thank goodness DL is more of a "throw your swimsuit, toothbrush and some clean undies in a bag, grab your AP and go" kind of trip. There's a Target down the road if we forget anything. Our weather was warm until last night. There's snow on the foothills, and it was in the 40's today. better grab a jacket for DL too!

You would need a jacket here too. We are heading to Annapolis today, we are going to a Navy football game, they are hosting Troy.

I think i am taking a blanket with me too.

I have been munching on it all week, and the results are not good! I have to wear a bathing suit in 2 weeks!!!

Hi, all! Well, we wound up finding another company to take the furniture, they picked up last Friday and Saturday, and Rick still made it on the plane down Saturday, so we have very little furniture, but at least we are all together. We are trying to get our money back that was paid to the original company, as we really need those funds to help pay for the new company. Also, the company Rick hired to bring his truck down didn't show either, so the truck is still in Omaha with his folks. I am working on convincing Rick that we could pay his folks the gas money, lodging, etc and they could drive it down and stay for a long visit with us and/or my folks, seems like a good option since his dad will NOT fly. Then we would rent them a car to drive home in, or they could stay all winter and go back with my folks, however that works. Seems like a win-win, we get the truck down here for less cost, and they get to come down without expense and can winter here instead of in the cold.

Heather, what time do you get in on Friday, and what is your plan for Saturday? I am thinking that might be a good time to plan on coming up to visit, possibly? Also, how long are you here for, if we can't swing the first weekend, I want to figure out when else might work to meet up. We have a/p's for the kids and I, so will just have Rick's to get.

Talked to DS tonight, and his and his girlfriend's jobs are not letting them know if they can have next Monday through Wed. off. If not, they can't join us at DL. Everyone, please keep your fingers crossed that they can make it. I am looking forward to the family being together.
