my friends.... I would love to have a little prayer coming my way and to my uncle.

My Uncle died today. This is my mom's brother and he has been sick a good while, he had a foot amputated last week and then passed away yesterday.

Three years ago when David and I where here in WDW my mom died. This is the second family member that has died while we have been here.... Weird, but I try not to let it get to me.

David's uncle passed away in August and it was so hard on us and now mine, just a tragic summer..

Brandi, I'm so sorry to hear that. His suffering is over now, but it is still so hard to lose a loved one. Sending you hugs. :hug:

Hi Peeps! Paid my final payment yesterday afternoon. :cool1:

I'm going to Disney World in 44 days!!!! :cool1:

I also have a BARE NEKKID ANKLE!!!! Yup, you read it right, no boot, no brace, nothing! I was very frustrated by the time I actally saw the Doc yesterday....had a 4:45 appt, and was finally called in at 7:30, BUT he said it is doing great and I don't need any kind of brace at all. He said that the pain I am having in the ball of my foot is normal due to the boot. Gave me some exercises to do to get range of motion back, but said he is very impressed with the progress I have made in the 2 weeks since I had the boot off! :thumbsup2

Heather, that's great news all around.
We had the first memorial for my mom today, at the assisted living facility where she had been for the last 3 years. DS sang some songs from my parents' courtship days, and that got us all crying. Everyone was very sweet with nice things to say about Mom, then we had cheesecake poppers, brownie bites, cream puffs and strawberries (thanks to Costco, I didn't have to do any baking). Now it's grey and rainy, and I'm just wallowing until DH gets home.

Today was a pretty good day. I woke up determined not to cry, and I did a very good job. One of my friends left me a very sweet card, and I teared up a bit, but I kept it together. My sister and I got together and reminisced, and it was touch and go, but I made it. Yay me, I'm toughening up.
Again, thanks for all the love.
BTW, when I got to school, there was a note from my friend who subbed for me yesterday. Attached was a Maleficent pin that says, "Spinning needles - What's the point?" She said she saw it at a yard sale in Long Beach and thought of me. Should I be flattered or offended? :confused3

Morning Y'All....

We made it home safe and sound.

Wish I was still on vacation and having a good time...

We are doing ok and viewed my Uncle's memorial on the web, which was nice to be included.
