The excitement is so overwhelming, just 9 more days til we get our "Keys to the Kingdom" As the days seem to get closer, I have been reading all these exciting trip reports and I decided to jump right in and attempt my own trip report.
Here's a little information about my family:
DH -
"Disney Fanatic" Drives me crazy, I come home from running errands and he's on Disboards reading about trips. Finally one day he persuaded me to read this one trip report "Disneyfreak92" her report was great but the most awesome thing about her report were her pictures they were fabulous... He then had me hooked on Disboards.
DS19 -
Freshman, at a Baptist College in Texas about 90 miles from our home. Star Basketball player. 1st trip to the World was in 2004, during a mission trip to Florida. 2nd trip to the World was the surprise trip in 2006. Loved the parks but would rather hang at Disney Quest or Disney's Wide World of Sports.
DS16 -
Sophomore in High School. 1st trip to the world was the surprise trip 2006. Loves Epcot and had a melt down in Magic Kingdom when he finally saw Chip and Dale, I thought he was 3 years old again. He wants to work in the college program at Disney, someday.
DD13 -
8th grader. 1st trip to the world was the surprise trip 2006. Her dream job is to play Tinkerbell in the fireworks show "Wishes" She is tiny, petite and my #1 gymnast, so we think she would make a great Tinkerbell in the fireworks show. This was her first trip to the World, plus her very first time to fly.

I'm not a Disney Fanatic like my DH but I do love everything about it. I do get excited when I get there, it's just the long wait that drives me crazy.
After our surprise trip to the Disneyworld, my DH and I decide that we needed our own trip to the World. We had been debating this trip for several months and on our 2nd anniversary in April, I gave him a Disney trip book from our TA. About 3 weeks after our anniversary we walked in to Susan's (TA) office and booked the trip. JUST THE 2 of US........ a 2nd honeymoon but really our 1st, because the first honeymoon was just to the house in Ruidoso, NM. We were so excited.
We decide to keep this one a secret for awhile, just because DD would be sooooo upset.
When booking our trip we wanted to go during an off season time, the surprise trip we took was during the 1st week of August and all the parks were so full. DH did some research and found that in September they offered the "Free Dining plan", well we jumped on that. So, the trip was booked and the plans have been made.
Then we found out about MNSSHP and how it started on the first friday night that we would be there. So, DH was extremly excited and we made the call to WDW Reservations and bought those tickets. I don't plan on wearing a costome, but I definetly want a Mickey's Halloween T-shirt.
As the summer finished and we took DS19 to college, we decided that we had better tell the DC about our trip plans. The DS19 was excited for us but was glad he wasn't going, DS16 was a little upset, BUT DD still thinks that we are going to secretly take her along, NOT going to happen. Trip for 2008 is already in the plans, just for her and DS16. DS19 is to involved in Basketball, Girls and College to attend next years trip.
Suitcases are out and most of my clothes are packed, just because I don't want to wear them and then have to do laundry again. DH is on a major count down just 6 more days of work is what he keeps saying.
More to come!

YEA!
, which puts us on Magical Express and then to Disney Boardwalk around 1:00pm.
remind you they were 18, 15, & 12 ). Our day in AK is full of events and I don't want to miss a thing, parade, Finding Nemo, and Festival of the Lion King. We plan to stay there until close. After AK we plan to adventure over to Epcot and snack, drink and munch our way around the world. Plus catch Illuminations somewhere around ????? Any suggestions.
After rest time then off to
I can't wait to go to Disney with my DH. Just think: we get to do what we want, go on the rides together, see the shows, check out every little corner of Epcot and eat where-ever we want to without a DC saying "I don't want to eat there, I don't like that food, ETC."
Although, I do feel a little guilty for not taking DS16, DD13, because the excitement on their faces last year was so overwhelming, it just brings tears to my eyes.
So alot of mixed emotion. Although DH and I have only been married 2.5 years, we are looking forward to a vacation without DC.
with our Adopted college girl, she has been living with us and is planning on getting married in November.) plus, Ironing, Packing, and cleaning...
I've been really sad about that because this is so out of my box for me to post something on a board. But DH reminded me that people just love to read your plans. He's always so encouraging.
