The excitement is so overwhelming, just 9 more days til we get our "Keys to the Kingdom" As the days seem to get closer, I have been reading all these exciting trip reports and I decided to jump right in and attempt my own trip report.

Here's a little information about my family:

DH - :mickeyjum "Disney Fanatic" Drives me crazy, I come home from running errands and he's on Disboards reading about trips. Finally one day he persuaded me to read this one trip report "Disneyfreak92" her report was great but the most awesome thing about her report were her pictures they were fabulous... He then had me hooked on Disboards.

DS19 - :tigger: Freshman, at a Baptist College in Texas about 90 miles from our home. Star Basketball player. 1st trip to the World was in 2004, during a mission trip to Florida. 2nd trip to the World was the surprise trip in 2006. Loved the parks but would rather hang at Disney Quest or Disney's Wide World of Sports.

DS16 - :figment: Sophomore in High School. 1st trip to the world was the surprise trip 2006. Loves Epcot and had a melt down in Magic Kingdom when he finally saw Chip and Dale, I thought he was 3 years old again. He wants to work in the college program at Disney, someday.

DD13 - :tink: 8th grader. 1st trip to the world was the surprise trip 2006. Her dream job is to play Tinkerbell in the fireworks show "Wishes" She is tiny, petite and my #1 gymnast, so we think she would make a great Tinkerbell in the fireworks show. This was her first trip to the World, plus her very first time to fly.

ME - ::MinnieMo I'm not a Disney Fanatic like my DH but I do love everything about it. I do get excited when I get there, it's just the long wait that drives me crazy.

After our surprise trip to the Disneyworld, my DH and I decide that we needed our own trip to the World. We had been debating this trip for several months and on our 2nd anniversary in April, I gave him a Disney trip book from our TA. About 3 weeks after our anniversary we walked in to Susan's (TA) office and booked the trip. JUST THE 2 of US........ a 2nd honeymoon but really our 1st, because the first honeymoon was just to the house in Ruidoso, NM. We were so excited.

We decide to keep this one a secret for awhile, just because DD would be sooooo upset. When booking our trip we wanted to go during an off season time, the surprise trip we took was during the 1st week of August and all the parks were so full. DH did some research and found that in September they offered the "Free Dining plan", well we jumped on that. So, the trip was booked and the plans have been made.

Then we found out about MNSSHP and how it started on the first friday night that we would be there. So, DH was extremly excited and we made the call to WDW Reservations and bought those tickets. I don't plan on wearing a costome, but I definetly want a Mickey's Halloween T-shirt.

As the summer finished and we took DS19 to college, we decided that we had better tell the DC about our trip plans. The DS19 was excited for us but was glad he wasn't going, DS16 was a little upset, BUT DD still thinks that we are going to secretly take her along, NOT going to happen. Trip for 2008 is already in the plans, just for her and DS16. DS19 is to involved in Basketball, Girls and College to attend next years trip.

Suitcases are out and most of my clothes are packed, just because I don't want to wear them and then have to do laundry again. DH is on a major count down just 6 more days of work is what he keeps saying.

More to come! ::MinnieMo :woohoo:

Hi! I just started my pre-trip report too. We're not going until Dec. I'll read yours if you read mine!!!! Glad to see you just joined the Dis boards! You are going to have a fabulous trip! Where are you eating? Oh, is that part of your trip report? Don't want to ruin it! I look forward to hearing more.

Well we made it through the day, and now there is only 8 more days to go. YEA!

Now that I have my suitcase packed and really having nothing to do except dream about my trip, I thought that I would write and tell you about my itinerary and ADR.

We leave our home town on Wednesday at 5:30am, yes that is really early, but we will arrive in Orlando around 11:30am:goodvibes , which puts us on Magical Express and then to Disney Boardwalk around 1:00pm.:woohoo: We get our "Keys to the Kingdom" and then off to Magic Kingdom in time to watch the "Dreams Come True Parade" (we didn't see this parade on the surprise trip). Our ADR is Tony's Town Square. After dinner we plan to watch Wishes in front of the Castle, last trip we watch on the left bridge by Crystal Palace and it was a terrible location... After the fireworks we will return to the BW in hopes that our luggage has made it to the room.:rotfl2:

Day 2, September 13th
Animal Kingdom: (On our surprise trip we only spent 3 hours at AK and we rode EE and Kilimanjaro Safaris and watch "It's Tough to Be a Bug". Plus that was day 3 and everyone was really grumpy and tired  remind you they were 18, 15, & 12 ). Our day in AK is full of events and I don't want to miss a thing, parade, Finding Nemo, and Festival of the Lion King. We plan to stay there until close. After AK we plan to adventure over to Epcot and snack, drink and munch our way around the world. Plus catch Illuminations somewhere around ????? Any suggestions.

Day 3, September 14th
Epcot, Soarin, Soarin, and Soarin...Do you think that I love this ride or what??? Plus check out all the other things to do in the Future World. We plan to eat lunch at Garden Grill. After riding Soarin one more time back to BW for a little rest. puckerup: After rest time then off to MNSSHP, I can't wait. Hopefully my Cousin and his wife who live in Tampa well be able to attend with us. They aren't to sure of their plans yet. But well soon know.

Well, More to come but I probably should be a parent for awhile and tuck DD:tink: into bed.

Today while at work, a friend came in to see me and we started talking about our kids, and then I began to tell her about our trip to Disney in a few days. Her respones was, "Are you crazy...Your not taking your kids, aren't they mad at you. Why would you want to go to Disney instead of somewhere else?" Well obviously she's not a big Disney fan. :confused3 I can't wait to go to Disney with my DH. Just think: we get to do what we want, go on the rides together, see the shows, check out every little corner of Epcot and eat where-ever we want to without a DC saying "I don't want to eat there, I don't like that food, ETC." :lmao: Although, I do feel a little guilty for not taking DS16, DD13, because the excitement on their faces last year was so overwhelming, it just brings tears to my eyes. :sad2: So alot of mixed emotion. Although DH and I have only been married 2.5 years, we are looking forward to a vacation without DC.

TexasBelle where are you?! I had to look and look for your pre-trip report! I know you're busy getting ready, but I need to hear the rest of your plans!!! Just wanted to let you know I'm still reading!

Just 4 more days, and I'm at work, YUCK.... Soooooo much to do. Laundry for DH and DC, (Although remember the DC's are staying at home:love: with our Adopted college girl, she has been living with us and is planning on getting married in November.) plus, Ironing, Packing, and cleaning...

Did I tell you that our flight out of our big city is at 5:30am, we have to be there at 4:15am, so that means we have to get up at 3:30am, I don't think I'll go to sleep that night.

The rest of our trip
Day 4, Saturday, Sept. 15th
Sleep late because we plan to stay at MNSSHP until midnight... Maybe go to Typoon Lagoon, the surprise trip we did Blizzard Beach, so we thought we would try the other one.... I wonder which one is better. Maybe that could be a new thread.... Shopping at Downtown Disney, Scrabooking stuff, Plus new dog collars for the 3 dogs... then a quick trip to the Coach Outlit Store, just a few miles away.... Then that evening a romantic dinner for 2 at Yachtmans Steak House and a stroll on the Boardwalk.

Day 5, Sunday, Sept. 16th
Sleep late again... POOL time... Check out the other resorts that we want to stay at on our next trips, Poly, CT, AK. Then off to Disney Studio's My favorite park, I love Beauty and the Beast, The Tower of Terror, Little Mermaid, and the atmosphere of this park... Plus, Fantasmic Show... Dinner at Sci-Fi???? Not to sure about eatting there? Is it any good??? It looks so much fun. But?????

Day 6, Monday, Sept. 17th.
Magic Kingdom, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom, which ever park we want to go. ADR is for that evening at Ohana, It's really late.. 9:30, We do plan to watch the "Wishes" from the beach at the Poly...

Day7, Tuesday, Sept. 18th
Epcot one more time and Soarin.... We leave the World at noon, our flight back to DFW leaves at 3:00ish... So not to much time to venture to far from BW, but I do plan on riding Soarin again...

Lots of things are planned for this trip, because the surpise trip we didn't get to do all the things that we wanted to do. So this is our time to do everything.

We have tried several times to get ADR's at the California Grill, but to no avail, also at the Norway place for Princess Breakfast but no luck... I'm really sad that I didn't book these as early as I booked our trip that was really bad planning on me.

Any suggestions on where to sit on the beach and watch "Wishes" at the Poly?

Which water park do you perfer, Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

Also, does anyone know if we need to take a taxi to the outlit stores or are there buses that run?

Well, Just 4 more days, to our 2nd honeymoon.... I can't wait.:cloud9:

More to come...

3 more days, I hope these next 3 days go by really fast! I've been reading some of the other post about their trips and they all sound so fun. Lots of replies to them but very few to mine. I've been really sad about that because this is so out of my box for me to post something on a board. But DH reminded me that people just love to read your plans. He's always so encouraging.

We have lots to do today. I didn't get very much accompolished last night when I got off work, because our bestfriends (They plan to go next year with us, that will be their first trip to the World, with their 5 year old DS) had us over for Stand up Taco's and cards. Which was lots more fun then packing. So not much accomplished. I'll have plenty of time because I have today and plus, these next few night I don't have to cook, tonight we eat at our church, tomorrow night my in-laws are having us over for Dinner and then Tuesday Night out with our BF to our favorite Chinese Place. So no cooking yea!!!! Plus, 2 more days of Work....:cheer2:

Not much to report just really really ready to leave...Attempt to get everthing ready today, except for my make-up, hair stuff, and DH necessities. The weather looks like it is really going to be hot, but that's okay yesterday here it was 95. So no big deal on the heat. We love it.

Still wondering about the bus thing to the Outlit Store's on my last post, any idea???
More to come!

I'm still here!! Some people have so many posts because they are talking back and forth to eachother! You've had 57 people look at your report! I'm pretty sure you'll have to take a taxi to the Outlet store, but it shouldn't cost too much. I don't know about viewing areas for the fireworks. You're going to have a great time! Don't be discouraged. I still want to read your trip report when you get back!

Attempting to post a picture. I did it... Yea
