Second thoughts on our first trip to Disney....

I'm convinced that the vast majority of the minority who didn't like their Disney experience go there with the notion that it's going to be a Six Flags type place.

My little brother is coming with us in December and he's slowly getting pumped for the trip, because I'm showing him what Disney is all about. He thought it was a Mickey Mouse version of Astroworld.

But I think for the most part, you either get Disney or you don't. I wouldn't force it on your sister. Let her borrow your Birnbaum's. Tell her to go through it and highlight the things she wants to do so you can add it to the list. I guarantee you she'll see things in that book she didn't even see when she went the first time.

Good luck and don't let it ruin YOUR Disney experience.

we never stay onsite.. not get into the parks before 11.30 - and we always have a fab time!

Please leave your SIL and family behind.. you dont need them ruining your vacation..
not everyone loves Disney.. (we took my parents once, and on the first day we went to Downtown Disney - half way through the afternoon, my dad said, Ive seen enough mickey mouse for this vacation" - he absolutely RUINED our vacation.. never again!)

I agree, don't bring them along if they don't want to go and don't like it. You will spend your entire trip trying to please them and not having any fun. Go, enjoy yourself and let them keep their opinion to themselves.

I would find out for sure when Presidents day is and go at least a week before then if you are going in Feb. First, that time is value season, so less expensive and the crowded during President's Week are huge.
