Now that a second Spectro has been added to Oct. 1 at 10:00 p.m., I'm tweaking my touring plan a little. We will be leaving MK after a 2:40 p.m. lunch at the castle for a break at the resort. We plan to return around 7:30 p.m. for a quick counter-service meal and touring in Tomorrowland, followed by viewing Wishes. My question is how soon should we plan to be in our viewing spot for Wishes? After Wishes, we will make our way over to Liberty Square/Frontierland for the 10:00 p.m. Spectro.

Unless you plan on sitting you can get a good spot to see Wishes w/ 15-20 minutes to spare. If you want to sit--well that may need quite a bit of planning.

Anyhow, if you want to sit for the 2nd Spectro (particularly on Main St.) you will still need a good 45-50 minute window. It is less crowded, but the sitting curb spots fill up fast.

I like the 10-15 minute plan better - I think we'll stand! Thanks,kilee!!

There's less curb space with the renovations going on near the Main Street Train Station, too....I wonder what effect that will have on things.

I thought the park was supposed to close at 10pm that night...Have the hours been adjusted?

It still shows the park hours from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for Oct. 1.

They also added a Spectomagic parade for the 4th too!!! I'm so excited because I thought we were going to miss the parade this year. I had planned on going on the 4th and they now extended the hours to 9:00 and added the parade. YAHOO!!! :cool1:

My only concern here is that this is an indication that they are expecting heavy crowds this week. Any thoughts on this?

I thought the same thing!!! Oh well. We can only hope.

I'm also leaving in 10 days. I'll be there from Sept 30th-Oct 4th. I've never been this time of year and assumed that it was one of the least crowded times of year. However, it will be the first weekend of MNNSHP and the EF&WF, so I too am beginning to think, it's gonna be pretty crowded. Plus, we decided to extend our stay by one day a couple months ago, and when we called Disney to add a day to our stay, they told us they couldn't b/c the hotel was booked that whole week and we could only add a day by finding an opening in another resort for the night! But we were able to move our reservation to Pop Century to accomadate our longer stay. But we also came across no vacancies at several WDW restaurants for the week that we're there. When we were trying to make breakfast reservations and were told everytime that they're booked, we asked the girl if they're anticipating a big crowd that week, and she said yes. At this point I'm kinda just hoping it's not THAT bad, considering we used to go in March/April during Spring break week!

the Spectro on 10/4 concerns me more than the additional one on 10/1. None of the other parks have changed hours, and there have been no additional Fantasmics yet, which is good news.

What part of KY are you travelling from? Are your kids on Fall Break that week?
