We took our son then 6 to Disney and now 6 years later we are returning. Lat time we stayed at ASMO and WL, this time I booked us at Pop since it is newer. My son wanted to stay at the ASmo, but I thought the fooze-ball area of Pop would be better. He is 12 now and I want this trip to be a trip he will always remember! Should be stay somewhere else?? AK? split our stay again??? I want to have some surprises in this trip for him! I need any advice! thanks! :cheer2:

If you can fit it into your budget ....I say YES! :Pinkbounc

What a wonderful surprise!! He (and you ) will love it there! There is a HUGE difference in value and the deluxe. We stay at value, moderate and deluxe, so I am not dissing the value! But, it is a special treat to stay at a Disney deluxe resort! And, the AK would be a resort to remember! It is an attraction all on it's own.

:jumping1: So, like I said.....YES!!

We loved the WL and he does not remember anything from our last trip. So really we could do any of them. Which would you suggest for a 12 yr old boy?

I think that Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Wilderness Lodge would be a 12 year old boys playground! He would have a great time! :cool1:

If he is into pools though, maybe the Yacht Club...IMO they have the best pool! (if you are going at a warm time of year) :boat:

And then there is location. If he likes Epcot, then YC....If he likes MK then WL. AKL is sorta far away, but the animals make it worth it.

Hope I haven't confused you more! :flower: Bottom line is...I think he would love any of the ones that I have listed, just think of his likes and match them to the resort!

Let us know which one you choose!!!

We stayed at POP last summer and I think he'd like it. The lake area right behind it has fish, turtles and ducks and has a paved path all along it. I know he's not real young, but he'd like it. Plus it's very relaxing to be away from people for a little bit. POP also has a great game arcade and pools. If you can you may want to split your stay and add a few nites at WL or AK too.

I think I'm gonna ask him if we "could" stay at other resort...which would it be????? Sorta let him tell me his thoughts and then check in the first night or two there??? What ya think? :cheer2:

DS turns 13 3mos before our 1st mother/son WDW vacation
we're starting at Pop 5nights then WL 3nights then BCV 6nights

we have stayed at WL twice already. DS wants to go back there for at least part of our vacation
