Hi! I just realize I haven't thought out somethings about Sea World and we will be there in a few days....

1. Do you get wet on some of the rides?

2. Should I have the kids where socks/sneakers so they can keep pace and not get blisters? If they wear sneakers are they going to get wet? They both grew out of their water shoes so that is not an option.

3. Aquatica question- where do you put your phone? Do you trust the lockers to hold your brand new smart phone? Or should I leave the phone at the resort for Aquatica? I can't swim with it and I won't leave it in a bag on the chair.

You only get wet on Journey To Atlantis, although you could also get wet if you sit in the soak zone at some of the shows.

I think wearing shoes/socks would be fine - if they are going on Journey something might have to be done, although I guess they could just lift their feet but there would still be getting the feet wet. Maybe take them off and sit on them? I haven't been on the ride in a long time so not sure what good options are. For the shows it is easy - don't sit in the soak zone, and if the kids want to have them take off the shoes and you sit higher up with their shoes.

I would fully trust the lockers at Aquatica with your phone. They also sell AquaVaults at the park. They are a small lockable device that clips over the back of your lounge chair, that way you would not have to run to the lockers every time you wanted to glance at the phone, and you can use the AquaVault other places. If you Google AquaVault you can find the product website.

we've gotten wetter on splash mt than JtA.

OP whatever your kids typically wear in the parks will work. Even if you do invest in new water shoes make sure they are 'broken in' before the trip.

You will get wet on Journey to Atlantis. Our shoes usually don't get very wet. Our whole family wears socks and sneakers the whole trip.

They will not let you carry any bags on JtA. There are lockers nearby. I think it is a dollar or two to rent. They are safe as you have the key. I usually tuck my phone in my pocket because I have a lifeproof case and it doesn't get wet enough to damage it. I tuck my sunglasses in my shirt in my, well, my female wear! We love JtA and will ride it a few times in a row to take advantage since our things are in a locker.
