I first got the Sea World/Busch Gardens Silver pass like in 2001,then in 2003 I upgraded it to the Platinum when I went to visit Busch Gardens in Virginia. It's a great pass if you do plan to visit multiple parks, there's like 5 major Busch and Sea World parks,3 waterparks and Sesame place included. You get free parking,it's supposed to just be preferred at your home park but I've always gotten it at the others. The discounts are 10% which are OK but if I recall correctly they used to be 20% on food and stores so that has dropped some. The special events like the Halloween Spooktacular and Christmas are not hard ticket events so they are just included with regular admission.Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa is a hard ticket event and you do get a good discount on those tickets, however several years ago Platinum members got in free on the freaky preview nights and that's another perk that has disappeared.I know at certain times of the year they do have deeply discounted tickets for Discovery Cove, but I'm sure they have a regular discounts year round but I've never gone so I'm not certain. They did use to give you more perks than they do now,it might be due to that it's no longer owned by Busch or what but they did occasionally use to give you nice little perks like free admission to the luau on your birthday with another paid admission,it seems they don't send any of these much anymore.Again I still think it's a very good pass if you'll be able to do many of the parks included but they have dropped many of their perks and have reduced their discounts.I've been paying this pass from day one with EZ PAY which bills you monthly, the great thing about that is that I'm still paying it at 2003 prices,as long as I'm paying my monthly pmt stays the same, the only problem is that when they built Aquatica they wanted me to upgrade it to include Aquatica and go from paying $12 a month to $16+,I believe today the pass on EZ PAY is close to $18/mo,but for all the parks except Aquatica $12 a month is pretty good.
