Seaworld - petting a penguin?

What are chances of petting a penguin? My son is stuck on doing this. The only opportunity I see is through a behind the scenes tour, and I really don't want to waste 90 minutes on that. Are there other opportunities to interact with the animals, either for a fee or not?

If you want to get close to a penguin it has to be through the tour. There are only 4 animal feedings dolphins, sting rays, sharks, and sea lions. The dolphins and sting rays are the only ones you get close enough to to pet. In fact the sting rays you can pet for free. You don't have to buy the food. The dolphin area you must pay for food to enter that area.


When is your trip?? The penguins won't be back til May 24th.
