Seaworld on July 4th

My 11 year-old daughter and I will be at Seaworld for the first time on July 4th and are trying to make a plan for the day. There is a ton of info on DL of course but I want to figure out a strategy for Seaworld (i.e. which shows to take in, which rides to jump on and when).

If there is a super thread somewhere that I am missing, can you point me in that direction? I am definitely not a fly by the seat of my pants person and as we only have one day so I want to make the most of it

We do want to end the day watching the fireworks - I have heard they are very nice (is there a place we should station ourselves??).

The best place to watch the fireworks is Shamu stadium. Catch the show that's scheduled just before the fireworks.

FYI it seems like half of the greater San Diego population heads to the beach on the 4th. It will be gridlock getting out of the area after the fireworks.

Enjoy your day there but expect large crowds. Get to shows early.

ya we figured it would be bad for crowds so we splurged on the quick queue passes. I am just not sure how to get back to my hotel as we were going to catch a cab (hadn't thought about the traffic).
