We will be leaving for a 2 week stay in Orlando on Sunday. My son and I were invited for team training through CCI to receive a skilled companion dog. My mom and I would like to take Noah for a 1 day trip to SeaWorld before we come home(after team training is completely finished.) Noah is 7 and in a w/c. Any tips on navigating SeaWorld with a chair, etc? (Also, we don't plan on bringing his dog to SeaWorld with us.)
What are the must sees for someone his age?

Take your son with you to the ticket booth and his ticket and a companion ticket will be 50% off.

Sea World is so much easier to navigate than WDW. My dad was in a wheelchair the last time that we went, and he had absolutely no trouble. The "roads" are very wide and it usually isn't very crowded.
Make sure that you catch as many of the shows as possible, and DON'T MISS the Shamu show!! If funds and time permit, the Sharks Underwater Grill is amazing. You get to eat right next to the shark tank and watch the sharks as you eat!

Have a great trip!! :thumbsup2

We just did Sea World with a wheelchair last week. The park is very nicely laid out to accomodate the chair at all of the shows and attractions. There are a few hills - the steepest one going into Shamu stadium - if you are having to push a manual chair.

Definitely try to see all of the shows - your son will love them!

Have a great trip!

My boys enjoyed the Shamu show, You can also go to an underwater viewing area that gets you up close. The other highlight of our day was feeding the dolphins. They do this at set times and there is a limited amount of food they give out. We had to put the chair sideways and have them reach over to be able to throw the fish, but they liked it. They also fed the sea lions.
Have a great trip!:wizard:

It's BIG be prepared...or maybe it just seemed to be really big to me because I hadn't gotten to the point of using a wheelchair yet. I haven't been for a while, but from what I remember it is much easier to navigate then Disney or Universal, as the others have said. I seem to remember the "roads" being smoother as well, no brick roads or other obstacles to navigate like that. As for things not to miss...whatever the Clyde & Seamore show is now, definitely go see that! It was Clyde & Seamore Take Pirate Island last I was there, may have changed some now, but it will still be Clyde & Seamore something. The mime is still there, so be sure to go for the pre-show, about 30 minutes early. As you are being seated the mime does mime stuff (sorry, lack of better term) and makes fun of people walking to their seats. One way to avoid that is to not walk in front of him! Unless of course, you want him to make fun of you. I loved it, and the show was great too!

Congratulations on getting the dog and I hope you have a good time.

I see someone already posted a link to the park. They have a good accessibility guide that you can download.

My hint is to have an idea of which shows you want to see and know where they are. Then, find out what times they are. We found that we needed to see some of the shows we wanted to see in a particular order to be able to get from one to the other in time.

I really like the pets ahoy show, shamu show, and clyde and seamore, but I also really like the dolphin show!!

What can I say, I really like animals.
