We had not been to Seaworld since 1992 and boy has it changed, all for the better. We immediately got our second day free pass when we came in the gate just in case and we needed it. You can easily spend 1 1/2 to 2 days in this park. We fed the dolphins, the seals, and the Stingrays. Great picture opportunities and amazing experiences. We did the endangered species tour and polar tours, $10/adult, $8/child. These were pretty much a bore exept that at the end of the species tour you get to go into the bird enclosure and the birds surround you, land on you, in your hair, shoulders, arms, and you get to feed them. This is a great photo op and the pictures I got made it worth the cash. The polar tour we did strictly for the end as you go into an enclosure and get to pet a magellanic penguin held by a handler. This was also a once in a lifetime type experience and made it worth the cash. I wish we could just give them the cash, skip the tours, and pet the penguins and feed the birds, but oh well.
The shows were fantastic, Clyde and Seamore campy funny but hilariious none the less, and the whale and dolphin shows entertaining. The Shamu show fills up 1/2 hour ahead of time so get there early. Pets ahoy was cute and entertaining, and most importantly air conditioned. (it was hot)
The exibits were great, the fish, birds and animals all on display and pretty active. Journey to Atlantis was not what I expected but it was fun. We didn't get time to do Krakken.
BIG HINT for all those going from Universal. The buses do not pick up from Universal resorts until 10:00. The parks open at 9:00, so when you get there it is already mobbed. A cab ride is about $12.50 each way, so if you want to get there at opening get a cab. By the time we got there it was almost 10:30 and packed. The second day we caught a cab and got there at opening and did a lot before 10:00 and before it got crowded.
We did not get to see Mystify as the kids got tired. Any questions, I may or may not be able to answer, but ask and I'll try.
