Hi!

How busy will SeaWorld be over the Easter weekend? We would be able to go either Friday, April 18, Saturday or Sunday. Would prefer Friday or Saturday, depending on crowd projections.

Also, we won't have a car, so is there a good way to get to SeaWorld (eg Trolley) from Seaport Village area? We will be staying at Manchester Grand Hyatt and would like to be at Seaworld when it opens.

Thanks!

Hi. The Saturday will be busier, though not insanely packed. Sea World spreads guests out pretty well and they run a lot of shows which definitely disperses the crowds. But there will be longer lines for the popular rides.

I would choose the Friday anyway though. This upcoming week is the San Diego school district's spring break - which means the local kids will be in school the Friday you propose.

I would just take a cab, the trolley does not go directly to Sea World which means you'll have to transfer to a local bus or cab. A cab shouldn't be that expensive. We live by downtown and it's only 7 miles from our house to Sea World. If you do decide to use the trolley, take the green line (there's a station across the street from the Hyatt) and get off at the Old Town Station. That puts you 3 miles from Sea World and you could cab it from there.

I went on Easter in 2011 and 2013 and neither time was especially busy. I think it's a great time to go. :)

I did however go to the SD Zoo on the Saturday before Easter in 2011 and it was a nightmare.
