Hi All
Just wondering whether anyone had taken the plunge and bought a seaworld annual pass? I've done the maths and for $30 more think we would easily save this, even if we only went for the day.

Any thoughts

Thanks
Ruthie

Hi Wayne
Thats a great deal! Not sure if I will use it half as much as that! But even with one trip I'm sure I can make it worthwhile.

Thanks

hiya, me again!

i've just looked on seaworlds website, and a seaworld AP costs $99.95 per adult. for that you get:
unlimited admission for 1 year
free parking
$8 off single day admission at seaworld for the others
10% off merchandise at seaworld
10% off food and beverage at seaworld
savings on strollers and wheelchairs
savings on tours and animal experiences
50% off preferred parking
savings on discovery cove admission

might be worth buying one and depending on how many of you are going it'd probably work out as good value.
here's a good post i found on here:

Hi Karen
I'm sure this is a good deal. If i buy one for myself only, I can still get most of the discounts. You also get $5 off quick queue for everyone in the party apparently, so this might be useful in August.:thumbsup2

hiya, me again!
savings on discovery cove admission

The 1st time we did Discovery cove we got $100pp discount with AP, it was like us getting free AP's that was out of season, Oct.
2nd time we went was August, peak time so only got $30 discount.

Once you have your AP's you can access the SW AP website fro exra discounts to print off like the free dessert with entree purchase. Didn't renew our AP last year so no idea what latest offers are.

The 2 year pass seems a really good deal, does anyone know if we can use the ezpay system in the uk or is that for usa residents only??:confused3

EZPay is no longer available for UK people. Check out this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2349450

We went for the Seaworld 2-year pass last year, and have already made our money back on it from just two trips to the park! :rotfl: And it's going to cover us for another three trips to come! Total bargain!

On-the-door entry was like $75pp. We were planning on visiting once, possibly twice, but were unsure of this. But we knew we would visit again the following year, if only once again. Seeing as the two single visits would equate to the cost of the 2-year annual pass, which if I arranged our holidays correctly, would actually cover a further two holidays, not just one, the decision was made for us!

They were even really nice about it when we realized we had forgotten to use our AP to get the discounts. Since we bought our APs online, we didn't get given the discount book which is available from Guest Services just inside. So at the end of our first day trip to SeaWorld, we went there with our receipts and they refunded us the amount we should have received in discount!

We had all done the 'pick a pearl' and had them set into gold pendents, and were able to get the 10% back. We also had our 10% money back on the lunch and snacks we had eaten earlier in the day!

Parking becomes free, which is something like $12 per trip, and with an AP it's one less thing to have to worry about. The Sky Tower also becomes free ($4 or $5 pp otherwise, I think). It was always something we wanted to do, but were never going to pay for! Last trip, we went up there twice - just flashed the AP and away we went.

The fact you get a discount on all the food, drinks and merchandise is pretty amazing, and can make the whole AP worthwhile just for that. Then you get all the extras like parking, sky tower, discounts on the other parks, it all adds up! :)

If you have the money available - do it!

Thanks for that, looks like raiding the kids money boxes then :rotfl2:
Can you buy the annual passes at the gate for the same price, Wayne seems to think that the 2 years starts from the day purchased now and not the date first used, if you order online do you just get a voucher to print off and swap for the pass when you get to the park :confused3

I don't know about at the gate, or about the current situation. But I can tell you what we did when we went in September last year. I wasn't totally sure what was going to happen regarding the start date of the tickets, so in the end I bought them the morning we went to the Hilton, the night before our flight. That way, if they did start from the moment of purchase, we would be reasonably okay come 2011 when they ran out! :rotfl:

We were emailed a voucher for each member of the party, that had our details and a barcode on. When we arrived at Seaworld for the first trip, we showed the vouchers at the gate and were given free parking there and then. Once we got to the gates, we went to the kiosks just to the right-hand side of the ticket booths.

We scanned each barcode at the machine, selected to collect/print our passports now, and they came out of the machine a few seconds later, each with our names and numbers on. The date of expiry became two years from the date we printed them out.

So, while I had purchased on the 6th September, the vouchers were not scanned and activated until the 18th September, so will now expire on the 17th September 2011.

I cannot say if that is true now, but that was our experience back in September!

Ok great, if thats the casei will just order them the day before we go and print out the voucher, if it starts from time of purchase that will only be a few days before first use anyway :thumbsup2
Thanks for your help

That was my thinking too! The fact that it became active on activation was then just a big bonus! :rotfl:

EZ-Pay may not be available for new APs to UK customers, but they're still taking the money from my account every month without any hassle for mine (bought about 2 years ago).

Though I do have an american bank account and they're taking the payments from that, maybe that's why ours are still going...

Glad it worked that way, I am sure I read they started from day of purchase now, hope that is wrong, we have always bought a few week in advance no problem. I will buy ours online night before we leave at Easter and see if its changed.

Sea World always have offers on, for us it's about balancing the cost with how many times we will visit, haven't been since 2006 but definitely going in August.
SW also have special offers that you get at the gate for guests with disABILITIES, sure Joshua got in half price last time we went.

Seaworld seems to change its policies regularly.

EZPay is now availble to UK visitors again

Last time the passes activated on date of purchase, this December I purchased the passes on 6th Dec, used them on 17th Dec and they expire on 18th Dec 2010 :confused3

Either way they are well worth getting at least one for your party :thumbsup2

I took out 4AP with EZpay about 10 years ago, It costs about $24 dollars a month. As I have an unbroken renewal for this period I still pay the origional price. Works out abot $70 each per year

Not Bad
