SeaWorld and Aquatica? Same Day?

Calling all Seaworld experts and new Aquatica experts! My family and I are DVC members and will be making a trip to Orlando next spring. We are planning on doing 3 days at WDW and our first two days at Sea World/Aquatica and Universal Studios.

Here are my questions. My kids LOVE water parks, can they spend the whole day at Aquatica and be happy. Their ages at time of travel will be 14 ,10, 8 and 6, the oldest 3 are boys. I was thinking we could do majority of the day at Aquatica and head to Sea World for Shamu show and dinner? Does that sound doable?

Also, can you bring your own food into Aquatica? Has anyone not done the cabana thing and had room to spread out? For a family of 6 the cabana is a lot of money!

Both parks have so much to offer, and the logistics of moving from one to the other would also be tough. We were just there last week. The Shamu show fills up 45 min. early, so it's hard to plan something as specific as a show and dinner. Your kids can easily use a whole day at Aquatica. My kids are older but we still enjoyed the kids' area at Aquatica. It is huge, and I'm guessing that younger kids could easily spend a couple hours just in that section. It has alot of slides for younger kids, as well as climbing areas and fountains to splash around in. There is a lazy river as well as Roa's Rapids, which is the fast version of a lazy river. If you will be at WDW that week, I'd pick Sea World and Aquatica over US. US is a great park, but SW/Aquatica will just add so much variety to your trip. Enjoy.

Don't try to do both in one day.

The exception to this rule: If you have an annual pass to SW, then it might make sense to pop in for a few hours after doing Aquatica.
