Seaworld all day dining?

We leave for Orlando in 3 weeks and I'm trying to finalize our plans.

I'm interested in purchasing the all day dining packages for both adults and kids. But I'm not sure what all is included. I know that there's two restaurants not included and no snacks from carts. But is there anything else? Like if going through the line I can only get one meal and one side/dessert right?

Yes. You may. We just did 2 days with ADD.
For example - I'd go through and grab a pop, a salad, and an entree of baked chicken and fries. Then after I ate I'd go back thru and grab a dessert & a water.

My kids sometimes wanted just sides to make up a meal. They'd go thru multiple times and just get what they wanted. We ate off times.

We love the all day dining. Its light years ahead of the Disney quick service plan, IMHO.

Each time through the line you are entitled to one entree, one "side" (can be a dessert or a non-dessert item) and one drink. Or any combination thereof.

One restaurant serves breakfast each day. Check your park map when you arrive to see where its being hosted on the day of your visit.

Entree selections are great, and there's a wide variety of options. We've had everything from barbecued chicken to fettucini alfredo to turkey bread bowls to fish and chips. There are wraps, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, chicken tenders and all your standard theme park fare as well.

For "sides", you can get cookies, pudding, chocolate cake (highly recommended....its DIVINE!), carrot cake, fruit cups, strawberries, salads, pickles, fries, muffins, and the list goes on. Adult plans included bottled water, so on a hot day we can almost drink our plan value alone.

Sharks Underwater Grill is excluded from the plan, as are snacks from the cart vendors. Our favourite dining plan locations are Voyageurs Smokehouse, SeaFire Inn, and Mango Joes. The only location we haven't been super pleased with is the Terrace Garden Buffet (pizza/pasta). It wasn't "bad" per se, but there are much better places to eat in the park IMHO.

My only concern is spending so much time in lines and sitting down to eat since we are only planning one day at Sea World. Are lines long at the all day dining places since they're all sit down? Would we be better off just going to the carts (and getting sandwiches/burgers) and not doing all day dining so it would be faster? We'll be there in the middle of August so we want to maximize the amount of attractions we can see.

All the restaurants that accept all day dining are quick service restaurants. The lines at peak times are a bit long but if you go during non rush times you can get through very fast. The snack carts dont serve any burgers/dogs. Mostly drinks/popcorn/ice cream/other snack items. Even when there seems to be a long line it does go by fast.

Do you normally have to wait for a table to become available? Can you take your drinks or snacks out of the restaurant with you to eat/drink later (if you choose portable options)?

You can take your drinks and food out if you like. We were there at open and headed right to breakfast. Were the first in there in the first day. Maybe second family in there on our second day. Lines were nonexistent at that point. We are as quickly as a group of ten from 14m to 65 years can. Plus we had to talk to chef d/t numerous food allergies. We did lunch around 1 both days. We went to Terrace one day (was crazy fast & a great choice for us - as much of whatever and no trying to figure out if such-and-such was a side or an entree) & once at Spice Mill. First day it was a breeze. Second day we had to wait longer b/c of blasted school groups. We found tables easily both days. Dinner was at 6ish both days. No lines and we ate both at Voyagers. I would have liked to try other restaurants but we always just choose whichever we were closest to. Spice Mill was our least favorite. I will say try the desserts. They are very visually appealing. I didn't really care for any of them... But I tried all three. The Danish in the AM wasn't great, but we loved strawberries & muffins. And their breakfast hot dishes were decent and served quickly. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I was very much encouraged to try it by Gina & others and I'm glad we did!

We did the all-day dining on Christmas Day 2012, and even during the super-busy holiday season, we had no major problems with lines or finding a place to sit. I think you will be fine in August. As already suggested, eating at non-peak times will definitely be helpful!

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I was very much encouraged to try it by Gina & others and I'm glad we did!

Like Gina mentioned she was there at Christmas and we went on New yrs eve weekend. I have never had a problem finding a table and we are a large group too. 7 children and 2 adults at the time(now we have 8 kids). Also like a PP mentioned yes you can take food and drinks out of the restaurant. In fact a lot of times people before heading out after eating grab water and/or a snack to go.

I know i have heard on the disney side that there is always the probelm with people saving seats but that rarely happens at SW.

The prices vary by season. You can check your dates online. It was $34.99/$18.99 for us early May.

I've heard but not confirmed that AAA has seaworld tickets with all day dining included for $89. Does anyone know of this is true? I also have usaa, do they have any discounted tickets for any of the parks?
