Is 2 days in Seaworld needed ? I'm hopping to get the quick que from the hotel. We are going in July so we may just want a day to relax and swim at the hotel because the next four days will be spent at Universal and IOA. So my question is has anyone purchased a 1 day ticket at undercover tourist or Seaworldparks.com and gotten an upgrade at customer service at Seaworld for the $10.00 upgrade fee for each ticket for a 2nd day ?

Yes, every time we go we do the add a second day for $10.

I don't know what happens. I think it's the nature of Sea World being lots of shows, and it's just hard to fit them all in. We always think one day will be enough, but then end up needing more time to finish everything up. There always seems to be one or two shows we just can't fit in. Then we think another half a day should do it, only to decide once we go back that we just have to do everything we missed, plus all our favorites again, and so end up spending a whole other day there. Two days total.

We are probably the only ones who do this though. I really love the ocean and aquariums and the whole laid back feel of Sea World. I'm sure I could plan better, and we could fit it all in in one day if we just rushed a little more. I've just never seen the point since it seems like a no brainer to me to get two days for basically the price of one, so why not take my time and enjoy it. Plan nice relaxed meals, have a snack from the bakery or ice cream shop, see the shows again, window shop, re-ride Manta, let kids play in climbing structure, enjoy the new sculpture garden, etc., in general just take our time doing whatever we feel like.

Nope, you are not the only ones :goodvibes. We always tell people that SW is a two day park!

Thank you for your replies. So I take it it doesn't matter where you get your Seaworld tickets and whether they're discounted or not you can add on a 2nd day for $10.00 per ticket as long as you do it before you leave Seaworld. We are planning on purchasing a 1 day ticket with undercover tourist. They are slightly cheaper than Seaworlds prices. So I think we will see where we are at toward the end of our first day. I guess $10.00 is even worth it for a 1/2 day. I love this board. Where else can you get the best and honest first hand information on planning your Florida Park vacations. I used it back in 2008 when we did Disney.

You're right it doesn't matter what type. Last trip we had discounted tickets purchased through AAA. One time I did the $50 weekday tickets. You can even return on a weekend when you do that.

Yeah! I was just wondering about this too! I am going to look for discounted tickets and add a second day for $10 - but ... do the days have to be used back to back?

I just love these boards!
:goodvibes

No, days don't have to be used back to back. We've never used ours back to back.
