We bought tickets online at kids prices and the 2nd day was free. We arrive in San Diego at 9:30 am on Tuesday and then we will get our car etc...we are thinking of going to SeaWorld for a bit on Tuesday and our original plan was to go all day on Wednesday. Our kids are 4 and 6 (almost 5 and 7...), will there be enough to do for 2 days?

DH and I got that deal last year when we went to Sea World. We didn't have any kids with us but this is what we did. We drove down on Sunday and looked around Balboa Park before checking into our hotel around 3pm. Our plan was to go to SW all day Monday but since we got a free day we thought we might as well go over Sunday evening also. I don't think we saw any shows that evening but got to see some of the animal exibits (like the artic animals) with no wait and no crowds. It was actually realliy nice and this was in July. Then we spent most of the day Monday going to the shows. We had to drive back home Monday evening so we didn't stay too late but I was glad we went the night before.

If you have the free day anyway and you don't have any other plans then I think you might as well go over there, at least for a little bit. They have some night shows and it was great being able to see the animals without the big crowds. I think there's enough to see for 2 days but it depends on if you think your family will get tired of watching all the shows. By the time we left DH had had enough of the shows. Have a great trip and hope that helps!

I think with the ages of your kids, 2 days would be good. There are lots of shows & lots to see. The Pets Rules show & the Clyde & Seymour show are really fun for kids-obviously besides the main shows like Shamu & the dolphins, etc.

If it were me & I had the time, I'd do 2 days. ;)

Two days. There's half a dozen shows - and more than two dozen exhibits/aquariums to wander through. DD could spend hours at the tide pools, and I could spend hours at the Forbidden Reef. Plus, there's the Bay of Play, with a huge playstructure. And since there's only 3 major rides you don't know what lines will be like for the thrill-seekers among you.

Have fun!

Bring ponchos! On the water rides you WILL get WET. Yesterday on Shipwreck Rapids I got soaked. Poncho would have saved me!
