We are considering using SW for our Feb trip. I haven't flown on them since they started the practice of printing boarding passes online. It will be very difficult to do that exactly 24 hrs. in advance for our return and I am worried about getting a B or possibly C boarding order. I have 2 children ages 5 and 10 and can NOT allow them to sit away from us (5 yr old is just to young and 10 yr. old has a fear of flying). I don't mind being split up 1 parent and 1 child, but am concerned with a C boarding we might be looking at only single seats.

Are people generally accomodating about moving to allow children and parents to be seated together? Will the FA help ask people to move, or will I be on my own?

Thanks!

Because so many families with kids fly the Orlando SW routes, it can be difficult to get people to switch. They don't want their families broken up either.

If you truly can't accept that your kids might not be sitting with you, you might be better off choosing another carrier.

If you can get your boarding passes printed out at your hotel the day before, you should be able to get A passes - everyone is in the same situation and most won't get their passes until travel day.

Regarding moving: ducklite is correct - on a flight to/from Disneyworld, families with children fill the plane, and every family wants to sit together.....

I would recommend selecting a carrier with assigned seats.
