We are planning on going to Hoop De Doo in October - a couple questions for all of you experienced Hoop-ers...

Does Category 1, 2, 3 matter? Are there reeeeally bad seats, or is a cat. 1 vs. cat 2 not a big difference?

What's the best way to get there from Magic Kingdom? Never been to Fort Wilderness before.

Does the show appeal to younger kids (I have a 2 and 4 yr. old)

Thanks so much!!! :-)

best way to HDDR is from MK. You take the launch from the front of MK to FW, and get off the launch about 20 feet from the hall.

I've often suggested to people to goto MK to get there. because then you don't have to deal with FW internal bus system. and it just feels right to be on the launch to it.

as pp said the ferry from MK is the easiest way there. my grandsons loved the show but they have been going to music shows all their lives. also if doing the early show and MK still open, ferry back to MK and catching bus there to your resort is easiest way back

IMO, Category 1 is that much better. My kids loved the show at that age!

Agree with those who posted about leaving from the MK. You might want to be in Cat 1 with the little ones to try to keep them engaged. Otherwise, I sat in Cat 3 the last time and was perfectly happy sitting upstairs along the rail.

Distribution of tables and categories.
. . . Cat-1 tables are main floor to-row8, they are the best seats
. . . Cat-2 tables are the seven tables in row9 on main floor
. . . Cat-2 tables are the last four on left/right wings
. . . Cat-2 tables are the eight rear balcony tables facing stage
. . . Cat-3 tables are the eight tables on both balcony sides
. . . Cat-2 and Cat-3 tables may have posts in the viewing way
. . . Cat-3 tables require you to turn around to see

Cat 1 & 2 don't differentiate that much, some of the seating (dont know if its 2 or 3) might be up on the balcony, but would be in the first row, and the cast still comes up there! I've always done cat 1, and it's been more than worth it!

From MK it would be easiest & best to take a boat! If the boats are down because of weather or some other reason, you will have to take a bus to the resort, and then take an internal bus to pioneer hall!

I would say yes it would appeal to smaller kids, there's a lot going on, so they should keep occupied! :)
