When my mom and I went for Christmas (the non-crowded time) we found ourselves waiting forever - because we were a party of 2. Now I wondered, we did NOT get PS for any of our dining - so this time I plan to have PS for the places my DH and I want to eat at in October.

So - my question is - for those who have had PS for parties of 2 - do the waits seem ok? Seeing tables of 4 open while we waited and waited for a table of 2 was horrible. I'm hopeing PS will nip this problem in the bud. Granted, we didn't have this issue at Biergarten or Sci-Fi since we were matched up with other diners.

Anyone know? :confused3

I've been a party of two on many occassions and never noticed a difference. On other visits, I've been a party of 6 and a party of 4. Waits have always seemed about the same, with or without a PS.

Good to know. Thanks. I guess when you are starving to death things may always seem a little - worse. :rotfl2:

My experience has been the same - though I have been turned away (even in that slow season you described) or had to wait 30 minutes or more for a party of 2 or a party of 4 adults! I'm a big fan of PS (though I wish it was a reservation system).

I will use our O'Hana meal as an example when we were there in September and I've seen this at other places. We ALWAYS get PS's and we did it in September even when there were just 2 of us and glad we did.

When we were at O'Hana waiting for our time, we saw many people come up to the podium and ask for a seat. Because they did not have a PS, they had to wait until all PS's had shown up and see if there was room, and I was sitting so I could hear them being told that. The PS people have priority over non-PS people, thus the reason for PS's. So your wait was probably for that reason as well.

A tip I learned from a helpful CM...if there is no room for a 2-top, call back and ask for a table for 3. When you get to the kiosk to be seated, say it's down to just the two of you. There are many more tables for 4 instead of 2.

Hubby and I have been a party of two for many years since the kids all moved out..lol. We always try to make ps's for any restaurant we want to eat at, and we are never kept waiting more than a couple minutes..and that is when they are just clearing the table and setting it back up for us. Not a problem at all.

Dd and I always use PS and have never waited very long to be seated. Only one time have we eaten at a sit-down place without PS and that was at Alfredo's in Italy. It was about 4:00 and we were seated right away.
