Is it possible to avoid the dark West Wing room? I’m considering making an ADR for dinner with our granddaughter but she hates the dark and sudden, loud noises.

Thanks!

It used to be when you checked in for your ADR if you really wanted to be in a specific room you could make that request but might have had to wait a little to be seated. Not sure if that changed during COVID.

Yes, you can request a table, plus the ballroom is significantly larger and the most common room to be seated in, so it should be easy to accommodate. Usually, those who have to wait longer do it for the West Wing. Personally, we feel the ballroom is cafeteria-esque, big, bright, loud, and overly crowded, we prefer the West Wing because it is smaller, more intimate and feels more themed. But it is darker.

Thanks! She’s only three and the West Wing would probably be too much.

They actually asked if it was ok if we were in the west wing before they seated us. I said it was fine but I wish now I had requested a different room. It is just way too dark in there to really enjoy the meal.

I’m guessing if they preemptively asked me that there are a lot of people who don’t want to eat in there.

We got seated in the West Wing last December and I was excited because it was the only room we've never eaten in before. Turns out none of us liked it. Aside from the fact that it was dark, people kept coming in to take pictures and selfies. Our table was constantly bombarded with people all around us and we felt very uncomfortable.

You can request the room you want but you may be waiting a little longer. Every time we've eaten at Be Our Guest we've been seated in the West Wing because we don't ask. I think we're going to ask for a different one next time.

Just ask when you check in...you may have to wait a little longer for a table to open up, but if it is not a large party, they usually can accomodate. We actually WANTED the "West Wing". Just be polite and respectful in asking, and have a great time!

Thanks, it will only be the two of us. She loves Belle but dark + sudden, loud noises not so much.
