I know for sure that I will have 5 people for breakfast at Akershus. I want to book for 5 but if I need to add another adult at check in can I do that? My dh may or may not be able to make to Epcot. The time is 8:15 for 5 and 9:20 for 6. I want the early time but I want to know if I can add him at the last minute. Can I do this?

A few things can happen if you show up with more then your reservation is for:

1) They seat you no problem.

2) They seat you but you have a wait. Sometimes the wait can be long depending on the restaurant and time of year.

3) They can not seat the extra person due to being at capacity.

So, you can never really know until you are actually there.

Thanks. It doesn't sound like that will be doable. The times we have gone to local restaurants if you are an odd number, there is always an extra seat. I was wondering if seating was like that at Disney.

I would think you'd have no problem going from 5 to 6 since you would be seated at a 6 top anyway. There are only rare reports of people not being seated with an extra person anywhere at WDW and I've never heard of it on a party going from 5 to 6.

This is what I was thinking too. If your going from 4 to 5, then you may have a problem, but from 5 to 6, I can't see it being an issue. Having said that - Ya never know!!!

I would make the ADR for your husband. If you show up one short, you can always tell them that he got held up somewhere.
