Just made a reservation for lunch at the Sci-Fi. The food might not be the greatest, but we love the atmosphere. For whatever reason we skipped it last year, so this will be our 1st time in there with our son.

If I remember correctly, the cars seat 2 across. How do they sit 3? I assume it would be 2 in front and 1 behind them...is that correct? Does that lone person have to share the other side of the car with a lone individual from another party?

Just curious

We used to be a party of 3. We were always given two rows in a car. DS always sat in front of us since he likes to "drive" us. We are now a party of 4 but DD is just a baby.

They sat us in two rows of one car. DS & I sat up front & DH enjoyed a little solitude in the backseat :)

Each car has 3 rows (or at least our car had 3 rows). Each seat really only fit 2 comfortably. I sat with my 5 year old, and I really wouldn't have wanted to squeeze another adult in.

ETA: Suggestion for you...if you have a party of 5, put the single person in the middle row so he/she can turn sideways to talk to the rear seat.

With 3 people you will most likely be given two rows -- 2 people in one row and 1 person in another. You could also ask for one of the tables in the back of the restaurant instead of a car, should you prefer.

Years ago when we were there a party of 3 my son sat in the first row and me and my Ex were sitting behind him.

When I went with just my kids last month, they sat in the front row, and I sat behind them. They loved it.

We will be doing the same thing in a week or so...I will be sitting by myself while my wife and son are in their row. Oh well, ;)
