DW was able to do this on the Delta website, but we booked direct with Delta, so dont know if that makes a difference.
Will be interested in how you find Atlanta Airport, we are doing exactly this trip in September

You have to ring whoever you have the reservation with, in you case(same as mine) AirFrance.
Our booking is with Expedia, AirFrance reservation on Delta plane, I tried Delta Live chat and they told me only AirFrance could do it.

I made seat bookings for this summer directly through Airfrance but is a code share on a Delta flight. Delta were happy to make the seat reservations for me.

Delta Live chat said they couldn't do anything for me as it was not their reservation, but I have heard others having more luck than me.
Thanks Wayne how much does it cost, can you choose your seats & do you have the tel no?
Have you tried logging into Airfrance website to see if you can do it online, I know they were trying to getting it up and running. Its a few months since I rang them, Delta gave me the number. Just looked on AirFrance site, I would try this number from there 0871 66 33 777 they will tell you if it can be done or not with your reservation.

If you have either got the Delta booking reference (unlikely as booked via travel agent/ Air France) or your eticket number (13 digits starting with 006) then you should be able to change your seats on delta.com

Click on the Traveling and Check In tab and then on Itineraries & Check-in and it will give you the option to retrieve your itinerary using either SkyMiles Number, Confirmation Number (Delta booking reference), Credit Card Number
or eTicket Number. You will also need to enter one name on the booking. This should then bring you itinerary up. Underneath this is another box that says Your Seating. You can then use the Select/Change link which should allow you to do the seating.

Thank you. I will try that.

My eticket number with AirFrance/Delta does not start with 006 so they do not all start with this number.

Why don't you try your surname and creditcard number that you used which is what I used to get my Delta reference.

However I dont know whether you will be able to choose your seat this way as the change seat number button is not showing on my booking screen and I phoned Delta and asked them to allocate my seats for me.

Wayne's right, sometimes you can be lucky with Delta staff and sometime you are not. The first time I got them to allocate my seats even though my booking was with Expedia and when they changed my flights it lost one of the seat reservations so I phoned again and they would not help me and just told me to phone Expedia who do not want to know either. Tried AirFrance and they said seats would be allocated at check in.

It is useful however to use the Delta search and get the Delta reference to keep an eye on the flights as we have had many, many time changes since booking in Oct 08.

Thanks Barbarah, I will try that, I'd hate for us to be sat separate on a long flight & would be worrying up to check in if i could'nt sort it out first.
