Seat Changes...

Ok I bought my airline tickets with NWA in March for my Oct trip. I've not had any problems whatsoever until recently. I chose my seats as soon as I was able and ahve been happy with what I have. Well I looked today to see if the time changed again (it hasn't changed by too much but it has changed several times)

Well anyway I looked at it today and they changed our seats for the trip home and we are not sitting together..is there anything I can do..the only available seats it shows are Exit seats and Premium seats..I just don't understand why they'd change our seats we've had ours picked for over two months. It wouldn't be abig deal if we were seated together and they moved us but we aren't...is there anything I can do?

Seat selection seems to be more of a suggestion than a sure thing. There could be various reasons why your seats have been reassigned. The equipment could have changed or flights could have been combined. NWA is under a reoganiztion process right now and eliminating a number of flights.

This is why I prefer SWA's open seating policy. They at least let you know up front you aren't getting an assigned seat!

Did you have seats near the front or on the aisle? If so, they probably changed it to accomodate a frequent flier who wanted something close to the front or on the aisle.

Call the airline and see what they can do. If they can't do anything over the phone, I would arrive as early as possible the day of the flight (say, 2+ hours before departure) and get the agent there to seat you together. They probably won't release the exit rows until then anyway. Good luck.

I agree. Get to the airport early. They do hold some seats back to be assigned only at the airport.
