Wwe had five of us trying to fly together on US Air. Worked with the agent on the phone to get seats together,2 and 3. Then they changed the equipment and reassigned us all over the place. When I called to check( I do this about once a month) they said that they could not give me seat assignments until check in. I said then how can I be sure we will be near each other or even all get on the plane ?Well, I was persistent enough that I got them to put us on a different flight, leaving only one hour later with assigned seats all together.(No change fees, their equipment change had caused this problem). The only problem was that I called back next day to be sure that changes had been made, they had not. It actually took four more calls over the next week of reconfirming to be sure that the changes were in place. Bottom line, we did fly together. Just check periodically, especially after the Jan, Apr,July and Oct. Schedule shuffles
