What are the busy and not so busy season room demands for DVC? (FYI: We're going to be joining BCV or BWV). I suspect DVC room demand is a little bit different than the high and low seasons on the point charts for DVC resorts and the offical and unoffical guide books give for WDW. Thanks!

Holiday times, Spring Break, Oct-early Jan. Summer is not as bad as other non-DVC resorts.

These are the busy times??

We're thinking October, Early December and January or February would be the times we'd go which fall into the busy times???

Epcot's Food & Wine Festival starts in late September and runs through early November so that keeps BCV and BWV pretty much fully booked. Since you are considering purchasing points there, you will have the 11-month booking advantage and should definitely use it for your October trips!

Early December is one of the most popular times for DVCers because the point rates are at their lowest, the parks aren't too busy, the holiday decorations are up and the weather is usually pretty decent. If you plan to go during the first or second week of December, book it as soon as your 11-month booking window opens.

I think it's easier to list the less busy times: early May, September and late January other than MLK weekend. If your January trips will include MLK weekend, book early.

The first two weeks of December are the busiest at DVC. It's cheap points and low crowds, plus the holiday decor is up. Next would be holiday times and then October Food and Wine festival time. January and February are popular again because of low points, but September is the quietest time at DVC resorts.

The beginning of January can be busy too with marathon weekend.

May and Sept are still mostly off season for DVC resorts. late Jan and early feb can be too. (don't know for sure work doesn't allow me off in Jan or Feb)

last Aug can be too.

When we say DVC busy times, we mean the times you really need to plan ahead. For example, the resorts book up earlier in the reservation window for early December, October and President's week, than they do for most dates in the summer.

DVC resorts are almost always booked near capacity for all dates - some dates just get there sooner rather than later.

If you want to stay at the BCV or the BWV in early December, plan on utilizing your home resort booking advantage to the fullest - in other words, call day by day as soon as the 11 month window opens.

Actually January and Feb other than the times noted above are the slowest, certainly slower than March and probably slower than Sept overall. There are a couple of weekends that are busier but not that bad overall. Early Dec is not quite as busy as some would like to think and can be gotten as an exchange through II fairly easily if one is a member there. Oct and November outside the holidays are not that busy either overall though as noted, some times at the EPCOT resorts are busier. The busiest times overall are Xmas, Easter and mid Summer with a few isolated times otherwise.
