The premade turkey burgers that are pre seasoned are actually pretty good. Ground turkey, flattened into burgers, not so much. What do you season your ground turkey with for burgers?

I love the Goya Adobo on my turkey burgers. Mmmmm!!! Adobo & Ketchup....how could you go wrong? :confused3 :cutie:

I am obsessed with Oprah Winfrey's recipe for her favorite turkey burders. It is truly the best turkey burger.

I love the McCormick grinders or Montreal seasonings on anything grilled along with garlic powder. My mom makes turkey burgers from scratch and puts salsa and sliced garlic in them. They are absolutely great.

Put a little grated onion in the patty to help keep it moist. That and pepper is what I've used. McCormick's Grill Seasoning is good too. We use it a lot.

If you have a Wegmans near you they make a great Asian BBQ sauce. It doesn't taste like traditional BBQ sauce and it's a little spicey (or a lot spiocey if you use too much) I put the turkey burgers on the grill frozen and brush a little on each side every time I turn it.

The most important thing is to keep them moist because so little fat in them will make the dry up quickly. I've done several varations

tsp olive oil
any kind of grill seasoning

worchestire sauce, garlic salt, little chili powder
half a turkey patty
shredded cheese 2%
other half turkey patty and press together

soy sauce, chopped green onion(scallions), minced garlic, ginger seasoning
top with grilled pineapple
I serve this with some stiry fry veggies

buffalo sauce
half turkey patty
blue cheese cumbles
half turkey patty and press together
*hubby pours little ranch dressing on top of his

This sounds like alot of work but it makes a ton. I don't make the burgers nearly as big as it calls for so if I halve this recipe I get 6-8 burgers. It is turkey breast so it doesn't shrink at all. I make the recipe and freeze half of ithe burgers. And putting the chutney on top is really good. You could probably just do this with your regular burger.
Tip - you don't want to overcook these burgers or they won't be good and moist. If you are worried about undercooking turkey use a meat thermometer.

INGREDIENTS

* 1/4 cup scallions, thinly sliced
* 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
* 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
* 1/8 cup canola oil
* 4 pounds ground turkey breast
* 2 Tbsp. salt
* 1 Tbsp. black pepper
* 2 tsp. chipotle Tabasco™
* 1 lemon, juice and grated zest
* 1/2 bunch parsley, finely chopped
* 1/4 cup Major Grey's Chutney, pureed

Sauté the scallions, celery and apples in the canola oil until tender. Let cool.

Place the ground turkey in a large mixing bowl. Add sautéed items and the remaining ingredients. Shape into eight 8-ounce burgers. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

Season the turkey burgers with salt and pepper. Place on a preheated, lightly oiled grill. Grill each side for 7 minutes until meat is thoroughly cooked. Let sit for 5 minutes.

Serve with a side of Mar-a-Lago Pear Chutney and your favorite toasted bread, pita or hamburger roll.

Thank you! I watched Opera this week when Donald Trump was on with his chef from his restaurant and he made turkey burgers that looked amazing! I think they are these? Did you see it? Thanks again, I cant wait to make these!!:)

I make this recipe. Usually use a little more seasoning though.

I saw that! It got a lot of good reviews. I wonder how it would be if I added bell's seasoning to it.

Very finely chopped onions and mushrooms for moisture. If you chop them fine, you can't taste the mushrooms, it just makes the burger moist.

Montreal steak seasoning on the outside.

If I'm really lazy, I'll just add a pack of Lipton Beefy Onion Soup mix and some water

I'm not familiar with bell's seasoning, but it's the type of recipe you can add seasoning to. Makes good meatballs too. Some people actually use seasoned salt instead of table/kosher salt in the recipe.
