Seasonal Recipe Swap: Progress

They arrived just fine. I honestly vcan't remember what they looked like right now. I am just checking things quickly from my aunt's computer. I have spent the last 2 days scrubbing down bathrooms in my grandmothers house to help get it ready for sale and I don't have a clue of what anyhing at home looks like.

Well, I am just glad they arrived safely and not all bent!!! Gee, have fun scrubbing bathrooms! I honestly can't say I want to be you right now!!! I have my own mess at home to tend to!!! It's a mess too!!!! Oh well, it will get done...

I started sizing and realized how BIG these are! I'm going to have to fiddle with fonts etc. because my recipe isn't that long

I FINALLY came up with a good idea, I'm going to be butting up against the deadline but I'll overnight it if I need to - my office has a corporate DHL account - it's only $5.50 to overnight

I assume you need to order something because the recipes aren't actually due until June 18th just because almost everyone is early doesn't mean you have to get it here immeadiately.

I don't have to order but I have a bit of work ahead of me in details. I had my cricut working hard last night. I still need to actually write out my recipe.... I've made it so many times but I've never actually written it down. It's one of those things that my grandma made and passed down

Just for everyone's informatiuon my brother's wedding is this coming weekend so I am leaving town on Friday and won't be back until Monday(early). If anyone mails a swap that may arrive during that time let me know and I will have my mail held, otherwise with Florida summer weather the boxes they leave sitting at my door may be ruined.

Rebecca, I'll overnight this week so it's there by Thursday. I made these a bit more detailed then I originally planned. The *should* be done tonight so I can have them at your place by DHL on Wednesday

I just got Faerie's they look great. If I felt like going out to the store I might even make that recipe for tonight's potluck but I'll wait for another week.

Everyone's recipes look great. The due date isn't until this weekend and we are just waiting on one more. I will swap these out when I return from Boston on Tuesday. I'll put up pictures at that time and send them back in the way each of you requested.

MazdaUK- Since I am sending a new binder and the sheet protectors would you like me to put your recipes in them and then in the binder? I am just thinking that it might protect them more for their overseas journey. Also is there any secrets I should know about sending these to you?

Yes, keep the package small and under four pounds.

Thanks Rebecca! If you don't want to bother unwrapping everthing they should be fine just tucked inside the binder covers as long as they're not under the rings I always send in padded (bubble) envelopes because that is what we get most easily here, but I've had stuff arrive safely in your priority envelopes (turned inside out, or over-wrapped with other stuff). Also, keep the value declared for customs under $30 - usually $20 or less gets through with no problems. As AWM says, small and light is good, also seal very tightly with tape - its pouring here

Don't forget to let me know how much extra $ you need.

I am having my mail held for tomorrow through Monday and I will pick it up on Monday if I have time or it will be delivered on Tuesday. At that time I will be sorting everything and getting it ready to send out. My post office has been out of priority boxes for a bit of time now and I was just told how to order my boxes online. They should be here in the next week. Those of you who sent in envelopes or boxes to return the shipment in I will send out by midweek. (I am getting a 16 year old over the summer so from no children to a teen may crmap my style a bit for a few days till we get used to things. Those who sent me money for priority would you rather have me send your things in the priority envelope (I have them and will get any ready to go before I leave) or would you like me to wait on sending yours till I get the videotape size boxes in and mail them in that?

I think a box or the hard priority envelope would be better, I just don't want them to get mangled in the mail! My packages arrive mangled sometimes and I find the hard envelopes or boxes are safer.

It's the paper bags! I have little scraps EVERYWHERE

I have evrything sorted and have grouped those that are going in envelopes that came with them in one section. Then I have those going by priority in another spot. I am just waiting on our last package which isn't late. I did put mine into a book and take pictures of them so I could post them.
