Seasonal Pricing on Fixed Priced Meals

I know it's clearly published when the 2011 seasonal pricing takes effect for the DDP, but what about for the fixed priced restaurants? Buffets and other fixed priced restaurants have always had dates when the prices are increased due to high seasons (generally around $4pp) but I can't find the dates for that. Are they the same dates as the DDP seasonal pricing? I can't find anything that says one way or the other.

One more question: TiW blackout dates are only for days like Christmas Day and Easter, right? We'll be going over President's Day. Are the blackout days listed somewhere? I won't be buying the TiW card until we get there so I don't have any paperwork yet and I haven't found that answer yet either.

Thank you!

Trudy- I think the surcharge dates will line up with the DDP increased dates.

As for TiW, there's only a handful of days you can't use it - the actual holidays. New Year's Eve, I'm pretty sure, Christmas Day, maybe Christmas Eve, Mother's Day, etc. Just the "biggies" mainly on the actual day of the holiday, not the whole week or anything.

PS - allears says:
Certain restrictions apply during holidays and special events, please check with the restaurant when you make your reservation. Blackout dates include major holidays: Mother's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Thanks Vicki! I'm figuring you're probably right about the dates but I'm hoping that it's not right because all but one of my dates is during the peak period defined for DDP. I guess I'll budget as though our 1900PF and 'Ohana ADRs are $4 more pp than what's listed. Sigh.... I just wish Disney would actually state when they're doing the upcharge because as it is now, they can get away with just deciding to do it whenever they want. I'm way to OCDD for that. LOL

Thanks for the dates from allears. At least they haven't included President's Day in there so I'm good, at least for this trip.

How did I miss that you've got a ticker? Only 3 days to go. YAY!!! Have fun!!

They used to announce the dates, but they don't anymore. However, the seasonal pricing is still in effect. I do NOT believe they are the same as the DDP dates.

I just really wish they would tell us. I hate the idea that really, Disney can just choose on any given day what they want to charge because it's not published. UGH! Alright, I'll stop whining now. I'll just budget the extra $24 per fixed price meal and if it's NOT seasonal pricing during my trip then I'll be in for a nice surprise.

I can't believe I'm whining over $24/meal and I've only booked 2 for our upcoming trip. I guess I'm whining more over the lack of answers since really, $48 in the grand scheme of things really isn't much. It's my obsessive compulsive need for accuracy that I guess is bothering me.

In 2008, we had 2 out of 4 trips (I know - tough life we have) during seasonal surcharge times - so frustrating. But what are you going to do if you want to eat? Just suck it up and pay it.
