Hi everyone!!

I have been trying to understand the Disney Dining Plan for quite sometime... I go to Disney very frequently, about 3 times a year for the past 4 years...:cool1: and me and my DF are florida residents so we have Seasonal Passes.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but is the only way to get the Dining Plan to purchase a Disney resort stay as well as a ticket? If so.. that stinks! :confused3 I would love to be able to pay for this package as we usually like to do a few sit down restaurants during our stay.

Okay, so if I made a reservation and bought a useless 1-day ticket just so I could do magic your way, could I get Disney Dining Plan for a week if I didn't buy passes for the week but just resort stay? Sorry if that's really confusing!

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

As an AP holder that's what I've done every time I've gotten the DDP. You have to pay rack rate for the room, buy at least a one day MYW ticket for everyone in the room, and then buy the dining for every night of your stay. You can save the one day MYW ticket and turn it in later to apply toward your next AP (as long as you never put it into a turnstyle). DDP has to do with the number of nights of your stay, not the days on your park ticket.

The only exception is if you're DVC. If so, then if you are staying on points you can buy the DDP without purchasing a park ticket.
