Seasonal Pass dates change messed up my ressies!

Back in March we reserved 3 weeks at FW for August 7th - 25th. This was with the AP discount. When we booked back then, the Disney AP website said that Seasonal passes were blacked out fron June 5th to August 12th. I printed all of that out and put it with my reservations.

Last week I looked at the AP website again and noticed that the blackout dates were changed to June 12th to August 19th. Now we were going to be there 12 days before the Seasonal passes are good. BUMMER !

I called Disney, and was told that the original dates were put on the website by mistake, and that it was discovered last month and changed by them. I told them that I already had reservations based on the original dates and asked if they would they work with me since it was their mistake. Although the woman was very nice and offered an appology, she offered little more. I was very suprised but I understand that dates are subject to change. So I just changed my reservations by cancelling the first week. But I'm very glad that I double checked !

I just wanted to let everyone know of the changes, just in case they had Seasonal passes.

If it didn't lessen your park days by so many, I'd say just keep it the same. There's a lot of fun things to do around Disney, and when you can't get into the parks, you become even more creative.

I've stayed at the Fort to get my disney fix when the seasonals were blocked out.

There are different kinds of Florida Resident Passes but there is an Annual Pass for those of us outlanders also.

Yes, I am a Florida resident. Part time. You don't have to be a full year resident. If you have a Florida residence and have a Florida drivers license, you can get a Seasonal pass. I have had one for 25 years.

Gotcha! I was sad that we couldn't renew our seasonal passes when we moved from Florida. The part time thing didn't occur to me!

Yeah, This will be our last year as well. We are downsizing because of retirement. We will be selling our condo. I'm more sad about losing the Seasonal passes than I am about losing the condo !!
