Seasonal allergies in Orlando?

We are getting clobbered by cedar fever right now in Texas. Kids all sniffling, sneezing, sore throats. Will that clear up in Orlando or does the state have its own seasonal allergens?

Central Florida surely has it's own allergens ... this past March we went with our kids and discovered they were way ahead of Pennsylvania on grass and pollen and our son had a difficult few days AFTER we played miniature golf one day!! I would suggest you be prepared. I will from now on, because I couldn't find children's allergy medicine in the resorts.

We were just there (12/3 to 12/10) and all had allergy sniffles (we came down from the Boston area). Many CMs were sniffling, too, and said it was allergies, but I don't know if it was the cedar specifically....

I don't know exactly what is causing it, but I currently have the sniffles and a sore throat. It comes and goes, so I'm sure it is allergy related.

I'm sure they have their own allergens but we were lucky and they didn't bother us. My ds and I both suffer from allergies and were both sniffly and stuffy when we left here right after Thanksgiving. Within a day of being in Disney our allergies had cleared up totally and neither of us were bothered at all. I think I sneezed a whopping two times during 8 days and usually two sneezes isn't even a start for me. Within a day of being home we were both back to having problems.

Whatever is around in March is what nearly put my DH down. He's definitely getting an allergy shot before our March '06 trip!!
