I have a question that may or may not be known yet. This past August we bought the 3 day P2P pass that was on sale for the price of a 1 day P2P. On your trip earlier this month we used it no problem and upgraded it to the basic season pass. We only got credit for the day we paid for not all 3. We are planning on going back this next September for Halloween Horror nights. So it made sense to upgrade for the 130 dollars or so. My question is will the basic season pass include Volcano Bay, I have not seen any info stating yes or no. It might be its not released or I am missing it, and of course I forgot to ask while at the counter upgrading tickets.

Thanks in advance.

I just read on a resort thread and that poster was told Seasonal Passes will not include Volcano Bay and they reported being told by Universal to buy 14 day Explorer tickets... Good luck, so far this is only word of mouth.
I had hoped to get better annual passes but we ran into the same thing where we were only given credit for the amount pain not the number of days purchased, but for us the Seasonal Pass is fine. We also aren't big water park people tough.

I would guess no, and that they will come out with a new class of Annual pass that does include it (that costs more) and then possibly give you the opportunity to upgrade to it.

That would be my guess too.

I just bought Seasonal Passes (the lowest level AP) for next year. I talked to two separate TM over there, and they both indicated they are expecting the pricing structure for APs to restructure, but no-one has any clue how that's going to happen.

The possibilities as I see it are:
1) They raise the prices on ALL APs and they ALL include 3-parks. In this case, an AP bought this year may or may not be automatically be made to include VB, but probably not. More than likely they will keep it included the 2 current parks, but they MIGHT for simplification sake make it cover all 3 parks.
2) They make new AP levels that have just 2-parks and a separate one with 3-parks. I think this is the most likely scenario, since they already are selling 2-park and 3-park passes. If this happens old APs will certainly remain unchanged.

So - in scenario 1 you MIGHT get VB included in your AP, in scenario 2 its extremely unlikely. However, there's no way to know until you do it. Anyway you slice it, it's quite likely they would let you pay an upgrade fee.

I think Universal needs to be careful with complicating these tickets. They also supposedly blackout concerts from Seasonal passes but do not put that on the calendar. So I know there will be and are those who show up not knowing that it's blacked out and they're gonna run into problems when these ppl complain that it's not on their blackout calendar. Adding more options will likely confuse a lot of customers. Esp with 4 tickets already....if they need to add one or two more that'll include the water park that'll be kinda ridic.

I think right now they're priced like they have 3 parks and they should be able to afford to add them to current tickets. Whether they will or not, idk.

Disney water parks are only $115 for two parks so if Universal does do some sort of addon price it's gonna have to be fairly competitively priced or it's probably gonna be a hard sell for some budget minded ppl.

I think the smartest thing to do would be to include it with their current lineup of passes. They just revamped the tickets and raised the prices....that should have accounted for the new 3rd park. It'll be easiest and there are enough blackout dates on the cheaper passes that it shouldn't be a problem adding them imo.
