I think if Mary Beth's food was better it would have been a bigger issue. The judges knew what Penny was doing.

The only one I will watch of the remaining 3 is Jeff. I don't find Vic's POV very interesting--it seems forced. And so does Suzie.

That's what I think about Jeff -- I find him forced. He seems to be trying too hard to be the all around funny guy would you'd like to watch make a sandwich. I do think he'll win -- Susie and Bob made that clear about 2 weeks ago.

At this point, I don't think I'd watch any of them. I don't like Vic and Susie is just OK.

Oh well, at least "The Great Foodtruck Race" starts again on Sunday!

i missed the reunion show. once it's aired in all areas, will someone tell me what happened with MB?

After the winner was announced, I set my DVR to record Food Network at 11:30 AM Sundays . Right now the listing shows The Neelys - yes, I scrolled through an entire week of listings, after 'search by title' didn't work - but I'll change it to the specific show title when the listing changes.

I'm thrilled the person who won, won. The other finalist seemed somewhat 'forced' or fake despite having the judges snowed. That person used filler during the camera challenge, saying "...more, and more, and more!" at the end with slight gaps between. I would have rather seen the eliminated contestant's pilot - but ultimately, I don't think that would have had any effect on the winner. As one of the judges indicated, the winner is the only contestant who kept the same theme throughout the competition

Not sure I will watch the winners show, but I did add The Pioneer Woman to my DVR! I can't wait for her new show!

I too was disappointed in MB, I hope it was just a bad edit.

The reunion show was on before the finale, and made me laugh out loud! I think this was the first season where I was really engaged and thought I would actually WATCH someone's show. They made the RIGHT decision, no way would I have watched the two who didn't make it. Fun season!

They showed the clip where Mary Beth was eliminated. Jeff went to hug her in sympathy and she put him off with "the hand". When asked during the show, she said something snooty, I think; something about fake feelings? I deleted it, but it's on again in the middle of the night so I'm taping it again in case nobody else has the answer.

Okay, I figured out the difference between the two finalists:
one brought a solid and unique point of view to the competition;
one wanted to be a celebrity chef.

So, does anybody know anything about that FNS Book Tour? Do I need a day off from work, or airfare, too? .

I have not watched yet but I can tell who won. I do not think I would have watched any of them this season... but maybe I'll tune in and see how it goes.

I AM excited about the Pioneer Woman though!! I have her cookbook!

Yep, my opinion of Mary Beth went WAY down after last night. During the reunion when they asked her if she'd watch Jeff's show if he won, she came right out and said no, there were too many "bad feelings" or something like that. And when they showed the clip of her stopping Jeff from hugging her, I couldn't believe it! She was so "graceful" all those times she was stuck working with Penny, and they'd never shown us any friction between Jeff and Mary Beth. Very weird.

That being said, I'm very happy that Jeff won. Like someone else said, he came in with his "sandwich" concept, and kept it the whole way thru. Suzy was at first trying to hide her Mexican heritage and then about half-way thru listened to the judges and decided to embrace her heritage. And Jeff's sandwich concept is unique - there are a few Mexican cooking shows out there, so they probably didn't need another one.

Yes, they asked her and she was very positive about it.

I don't think I'd be enthusiastic no matter who won. I don't really watch Aarti or Melissa either.

DVR'ed the Great Food Truck Race. I enjoyed that one last year.

So let talk Editing. MB vs. Penny. The network liked MB so maybe she was edited in her favor, they knew Penny had a strong personality very easy to make the bad guy. At the reunion show did you notice that none of the chefs except for MB really had a problem with Penny? but a few of them seemed to be cool toward MB.
