Hullo,
Has anybody ventured over to Clearwater and taken a trip on the Seascreamer, the rather over-sized speedboat. Still planning an action packed fortnight and wondered if anybody has tried it, any tips or the like?? pirate: pirate:

Friends of mine have done this and there have been posts on this in the past - they all enjoyed the experience! The boats help each other locate the dolphins - if one isn't having any luck locating them, the other boats help out so that your chances of seeing the dolphins are high.

Hopefully someone who has done this will post as well.

We did this a couple of years ago. It was a really enjoyable experience. We thought we were going to be unlucky as we were heading back without a dolphin sighting, but luckily they appeared at the last minute It was brilliant, we got some great footage of them racing along by the boat. I'm hoping to do this again. Beware you get absolutely soaked and make sure you apply lots of sunscreen.

Hi

Last year we went to Clearwater and went on the seascreamer. It was brilliant. The speed is great and then they slow down to se the dolphins. We went lucky enough to see about 8 dolphins jumping at the back of the boat and everyone gets up so you can all see at the back. However I agree with TracyK it gets so hot and you burn really easy. I also found the seats we sooo hot that it was burning the backs of my legs. The Seascreamer was a great experience and I am so glad we done it, it shouldn't be missed!

Have fun

Seascreamer is a fabulous experience - almost guaranteed to see dolphins in the wild that look as though they are having fun.
Can't remember how much it was, but I remember we thought it was great value.
It was one of the highlights of our holiday.
Don't miss it!

Yeah, another vote here. We did it a few years back and it was fantastic. Saw loads of Dolphins who put on a great show. I think you would be unlucky not to see any. The guide said the dolphins had gotten used to the sound of the Sea Screamer and nearly always came "out to play" in its wake as it is one of the fastest boats around.

TIP: When you park up at the marina, there is a building with a small shop, toilets and a cafe....if you go in here first, pick up some coupon books and you can get a couple of $$ off the Sea Screamer. It was about $16 when we did it in '99.

Not sure it would be suitable for very young kids (under 5s??) as it throws you around a bit. Life jackets are available though.
